“A green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana was seized…”

I guess it wasn’t oregano.

Nice try playing the athlete card, Riley.  That stuff only works in Tuscaloosa.

It works in the state of Georgia, if you are outside Athens and you play for Auburn, per the Nick Marshall incident in the lovely hamlet of Reynolds, GA. You just get a citation there and a stern talking to by the local police chief. Frankly, that ought to be enough for a first offense, but not for the Nanny State of the People’s Republic of ACC.

A friend with weed is a friend indeed. Unless you’re with the ACCPD.

So you’re saying you crossed state lines with that green leafy substance…

I’d like to see it be made illegal for cops to say they smell weed. Most of the time that is BS just to further investigate. Like it used to be when they said “you crossed the center line”.

So out of all the cars containing marijuana being driven around Athens by women on Sat. night one gets stopped and there’s a Georgia football player in it. Bulldog luck at its finest.

I’m sure he was talking about Bryant Gantt. He’s been the guy called lately when players have police involvement. I don’t see a problem with it. These kids need an advocate when it’s not possible to have their parents there. Seems the police haven’t minded so far. Helping things go smoothly seems like the proper term.
