You’ve come a long way, baby.

Reading Seth Emerson’s post-spring depth chart for the secondary, I’m not struck so much by trying to figure out who plays where, as I am by the comparison to what Jeremy Pruitt had to work with in the defensive backfield when he showed up in 2014.  It’s one reason why it’s not crazy to expect an upward trajectory for the team this season.

Hurts to say… but other than maybe OL coach, I don’t feel that there are any upgrades in Kirby’s staff compared to before. I certainly hope that I am wrong.

Agreed, Greg. I thought with the exception of Schotty the staff of assistants we had in Athens in 2015 was the best staff we had since Georgia won the National Championship in 1980. If Bobo had been on that staff it would have been the best staff Georgia ever had. Now look what we have–a bunch of retreads. And anyone who thinks the staff improved when Kirby ran off Tracy Rocker is full of sh!t.

That may be the one staff position where there was an improvement from 2015 to 2016, but since the OL performed like it did in 2016 I can’t say that yet. Lets just wait and see what 2017 brings.

True…..and even that can be debatable, as the offense also took a step back. But personally, I feel that Pittman is an upgrade. He certainly has brought in some players. He just needs to show what he can do with them…

Agree 100%, thought the future looked good…add Bobo to that mix & who knows. Recruiting was not doing bad either, #3 in the country before termination. Would like to have seen 1 more year with staff, minus Schotty….but they didn’t ask me..😏

CMR was a helluva coach. AD looking stupid again about right now. Kirby and his staff of recruiters who can’t coach a piece of paper to fold suck. All of them underperformed, special teams, defense, and especially offense. Finished no 42 in the polls, but…..they finished in the top 5 in recruiting…PUULEEZE.

Nobody on this staff is anywhere close to Pruitt in coaching ability. But I agree on “upward trajectory”, because doing worse than 2016 is inconceivable.
