“He’ll be back in summer school.”

On both a personal level for the kid as well as what it means for the team, if you can’t get excited about the Trent Thompson news, I’m not sure what you’re doing here.

    Can’t wait to see this kid play in 2017 and put all of this behind himself. The sky is the limit for Trent Thomson, and I hope that he succeeds.

      His uncle made a statement he had some blood sugar problems. The symptoms, especially the ones involving the police incident, are classic when a diabetic’s blood sugar gets low. UGA can’t say anything and that is as it should be, but they were able to say it was a medical issue and his reactions were part of that.

        Yep. Had a friend that was a great guy, never really drank and was a health nut (out of necessity) but a couple of times his blood sugar got out of whack and he was a completely different person, much like how TT was described in the police report.

          He was found wandering aimlessly with blood shot eyes and said he had been taking pain medicine. Oh come on, University of Georgia football player. If his sugar is out of whack we would have known about it about it long before that night. I do like the Alabama speak it’s a medical issue we can’t speak about it.

            It is a matter of federal privacy law that UGA cannot speak about any medical issue for any student. That law applies in Georgia as well as Alabama.

              I don’t want to get too far in the weeds and his medical history is none of my damn business, but low blood sugar is easily treated with an IV and an amp of D50. You’re as good as new in a few minutes. Obviously his medical issues are more complicated. He appears to be getting proper medical treatment and is on the right path. Here’s wishing him a full recovery and a great year.

                A diabetic low blood sugar event is even more easily treated with orange juice or coca cola. With either It usually resolves in less than a minute. But the event is serious and diabetes, if that is what he has, is a very serious disease that would be with him the rest of his life even with the best treatment. He can have a successful pro career and I too wish him the best

    I really hope he did what he needed to to get himself straight and not just the minimum to get back on the football field. Really glad he’s back as I believe he could be one of our best DL ever, if not THE best.
