Your Daily Gator couldn’t catch a break.

Just a reminder of one of the more enjoyable moments from the 2019 season:

The Portal Master™ was not happy with the officiating crew that day, my friends.

Looked like a good call to me. ‘Don’t understand all the fuss.

  4. Screw them … I still remember Georgia receivers being practically dragged to the ground in 2008 after the Celebration. I still remember those SEC jackasses giving FU a timeout in 1993 in the rain to nullify what would have been a touchdown with a chance to tie or win the game.

    • Don’t understand the despair….the wide open UGA receiver clearly caught the football and scored a touchdown, i do understand the FU hc being upset that the FU dc couldn’t dial up a play to stop the 3rd down score….

  5. Ask South Carolina how they feel about the calls in their game against the Gators. it changed that game.

The best moment from the UF SC game was the freaking TD highlight where a UF guy is holding a guy for 15-20 yards.

It was a bad call. But after watching every break go their way for 20 years, I don’t feel bad about it and never will.

    • I’ll admit I’m not a fan of replay except in the most extreme of circumstances. The game happens too fast to get every call right. It’s a part of the game. The stuff that gets missed that is the most blatant is the stuff that isn’t reviewable like the holding penalties that 90,000 people can see and the officials who are the closest to the action either doesn’t see or ignores. Or the practical decapitation by the twisting of the face mask of a certain running back in the last game of the 2017 season.

Right, so you mean like if a player is on the correct side of the line when the ball is snapped on a punt and a confused moron calls him offside, or when a defensive player is so obviously tackled in front of a ref while in a position to make a tackle on a key third down scramble, or maybe when a QB is getting up and pushed for no reason in front of the world, etc.

I think I understand as well!

If gator fans are waiting around for me to feel bad for them, they’d better get comfortable.

Here are some of the things I’ve been doing to keep my 2 teen daughters some what happy…

I painted their rooms. We moved all of the furniture out and then they had to clean the room. They also went through their clothing and made a donate pile. Serious win for $70 worth of paint.
I bought craft projects on Amazon. Mostly high end paint by numbers.
I had my 17 year old make a spread sheet for colleges she is interested in with deep detail and the Net Price Calculator computation. Sparked a lot of thought on her part and then positive conversations.
I went to play it again sports and bought crappy roller blades. They need to stay active.
Also 1 hour of streamed fitness videos like yoga or core.
They each call a different grand parent every day. At first they were annoyed, but now they kind of like it.
We are learning to bake bread. Takes a lot of time. There is some talk about baking cakes.

I’m hoping this stuff caries us at least another week…

While I thought the call was good, it thrills me that they think otherwise.

Here’s hoping that no number of “bad” calls will be able to give them a moral victory in Jax this fall.

I read these threads just to count the FTMF’ers directed at gators. And I’m a pastor. 3 acronyms and one full-on slap down. Makes me happy. Thank you.
