Not dead yet

Georgia Tech recruiting, that is.

With no four- or five-stars in the class as of yet, “relentless” is a relative term.

This may be the best definition of an optimist you’ll ever see.

Betting on Coach 404 to survive past this season?  Bold strategy, Cotton.

Maybe spellcheck changed the word “irrelevant.”

I don’t know. It seems like he should at least get a chance to develop these new players, right?

I’ll nominate him for ‘off-season coach of the year’ if it’ll get Collins a contract extension.

Stayed out late at the Tears for Fears show last night and woke up a little foggy, so I admit it took me a little bit to make the connection between the tweet and the recruiting board. “Wait, only one three-star recruit? But the tweet said they had 21 in the… [takes a second] [takes another second] Oh, no. Oh no no no. Oh, Tech, bless your hearts.”

Remember, this is the year they are going to start coaching. I see an analyst position for Cousin Eddie.

I guess when you’re GT, having someone even answer your call is pretty much killing it.
KID ANNOUNCING HIS COMITTMENT TO GT
After much consideration, I have decided to take my meager talents to the flats at GT. I had a real tough time deciding between GT and Midwestern State (Wichita Falls TX). While I was a lean to Midwestern most of the recruiting period, the recent spike in gas prices was the determining factor. I want mama to be able to see me play even if it is for an inferior team.

Pulled this from a AJC article about Colin’s contract:

If he were to be fired within the first four years, Collins would receive 100 percent of the remaining value of the deal. After that, he would receive $2.4 million for each remaining season. For example, if he were dismissed at the end of the fifth season with two years left, he would receive $4.8 million.

He would have 3 years left after this year, so the buyout would be $7.2MM.

You should probably show the 2023 class since it’s even more pathetic on a per-recruit basis.

Let’s see the recruiting advantages he can point to. 1. Unlimited body armor in case you want to walk off campus. 2. Campus that is as urban as any in the country but has all the beauty of a third world nation. 3. The co-eds are actually smarter than the guys there, and 4 the Cheetah III has closed. I don’t know how the heck they get anybody athletic in school period.
