It’s hard to imagine a more blatant troll than the one the AJ-C is posting now, a Terence Moore piece entitled “Why the emotional fallout over Uga?”. It’s working, too. Big surprise, that.

Talk about a lazy way to stir up controversy. He must really be anxious to head out for a July 4 vacation.
On the other hand, I guess it’s a fair question. Why does Uga always have to be pure WHITE? Why can’t he be black? What about diversity? And why does he always have to be male? What about the fact that the University is over half female now? And why does he have to be an ENGLISH bulldog? What about the rising Latino population of the state? Or the Asian population? I think we can all see that while a white, male, Eurocentric bulldog might have been adequate in the Jim Crow 50s and 60s, in order to be inclusive and properly reflect the diverse constituencies of present day Georgia, we probably need a black, female Chinese pug as UGA VII. Or maybe a black, female Mexican chihuahua.
(if you cant see my tongue in my cheek, you dont know me very well. Though, I suspect some sycophant in Mike Adams “Office of Diversity” may read this and think, “Hey! What better way to make a statement!” I just hope Cynthia McKinney doesnt see this; it’ll be her ticket back to Congress if she makes THIS a way to show The Man he better….re-COG-NIZe…..)

Reading Terrance Moore’s column is proof of the adage an older lawyer told me once when I’d just started practicing: “What happens when you hop in the hog pen and wrestle with the pigs? You both get dirty, but the pigs enjoy it.”
Moral: No one ever really gained anything from reading Moore’s columns, except Moore, who apparently gets paid simply for inciting people to rage who ought to know better. That’s quite a job description.

Terrance is a douche, but the AJC definately knows how to put his worm on a hook for a bunch of hungry fish. You can tell he’s trying to get people to comment by referring to Tech as a “dreaded in-state rival”.
