Stay classy, Mr. President.

I know the guy’s got a lot on his plate right now, with two wars and a collapsing economy, so it’s understandable that he has a moment or two when his mouth disengages from his brain, but still, this was a dumb comment by Obama from yesterday’s ceremony honoring the Florida Gators team that won the 2009 BCS title game.

“I don’t want to stir up controversy. You guys are the national champions — I’m not backing off the fact we need a playoff system. But I have every confidence that you guys could have beat anybody else. And so we’ll see how that plays itself out.”

So in one breath, he denigrates the championship Florida won and in the next says that a playoff would have been meaningless because the Gators would have won anyway.  Helluva sales job there.

No wonder Obama noticed that “… they got all quiet.”

You mean you’re surprised that President Teleprompter talked out of both sides of his mouth?

I have absolutely no problem with the POTUS publicly disrespecting the jortian horde, even on the basis of the specious playoff argument.

Anyway, Urban can complain about what an affront it was in the updated, revised version of his book. (I bet steam was coming out of his ears standing up there!)

  3. From a statement issued by Urban Meyer yesterday:

“That wasn’t right. It was a bad deal. And it will forever be in the mind of Urban Meyer and in the mind of our football team. . . . So we’ll handle it. And come 2012, it’s going to be a big deal. Palin ’12, mother$#@!ers.”

Surely this was just a teleprompter malfunction. Just curious, Did Chrissy Matthews enquire as to the feelings in Urban Criers/Meyers leg upon hearing the great one speak in person?

    No, he didn’t.

Urban did do his usual bird dog point and stare.

Secret Service thought the point and stare could be a potential threat. Concerned that Urban would try to bite someone, they threw a bucket of cold water on him, whipped him and put him back in the bird dog cage on the pickup.

Word is that it’s not so much about how Urban’s leg felt.

It’s about how the leg of Chris feels whenever Chris is in the presence of someone Chris deems to be an alpha-male, which to Chris, is every guy other than Chris.

Oh shit, Obama uses a teleprompter! I had no idea! OMG he is totally stupid for using prepared notes and speeches when giving prepared notes and speeches! DOOFUS! He should obviously speak off the top of his head. Oh noes, but I bet if he did he would totally accidentally reveal his love of baby-murder and communist druggie Muslims! He’d be exposed! Clearly, if a man can’t speak off the cuff, he isn’t fit to be President. Listen Obamatard, fool me once…shame on you…fool me…can’t get fooled again, okay?

Oddly, for some unknown reason, the Oval Office orchestrates softball exit interviews for President Bush without teleprompters –

ABC News 12/1/09 Bush exit interview – Economic Collapse excerpt:

      Charlie Gibson to Bush:

“Do you feel in any way responsible for what’s happening?”

      Bush, without teleprompter, to Gibson:

“You know, I’m the President during this period of time, but I think when the history of this period is written, people will realize a lot of the decisions that were made on Wall Street took place over a decade or so, before I arrived in President, during I arrived in President.”

Urban points at televsion, stares at television, thinks W. is going to be more than a little disappointed about this whole history vindication thing Bush has got going on…

Go figure if a white trash, uneducated Republican had said this I am sure this post would be something to the effect of ‘Great Job, Mr. President!’

Your party got its ass kicked in the last 2 elections. Let the hate go. Deal with it.

You won’t get any new readers sounding like some right wing nazi nutjob trying to bash Obama

    • Wow, MacAttack, calm down. Can you please point out to me where the Senator actually bashes Obama because Obama is a Democrat?

The only point he makes is a fair criticism that the President basically said “congratulations on your national title which is illegitimate because your sport doesn’t have a playoff. Although, I think you would have won that playoff”.

I don’t care if it were George Bush, Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, or the freaking Dalai Lama. That was plain disrespectful.

When we have become so polarized in this country that just because someone points out a fair criticism we automatically assume that the person is only being criticized because of political leanings?

+183. No one should misunderestimate our politicians, our former politicians, their politics and Lane as being the greatest sources comedy material ever known to mankind. As our enemies, they are innovative and resourceful and so are we. They never stop thinking about ways to harm our country and neither do we. And there is distrust in Washington and on Get The Picture. I am surprised at the amount of distrust that exists and I am sorry that’s the case and I will work hard to try to elevate it. God Bless America.
