Check out Gentry Estes’ photo tour of the Butts-Mehre renovation.
All I can say is wow. No wonder recruits are paying attention to Richt this year.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Wow…think if you were aj, or any of his peers, and walk by him immortalized on the wall of dawg folklore. It speaks to his talent that he has become legend in his own time. Also, isn’t that picture of Drew Butler with the name Kevin Butler on it?

That’s very nice. And surprising to find out our training/rehabilitation facilities were so bad off they were in trailers at times last season. Improved S&C goes hand in hand with proper recovery from practice/workouts.
Hopefully those tubs can go hot and cold.

I just had a flashback to the scene in “Major League” where the guys put an outboard motor into their whirlpool.

Seeing this reminds me of what a POS Lane Kiffin was at UT.
He plaster up USC crap all over their building. What a douche.

Outstanding. The only thing this facility doesn’t have is a playroom for CMB’s kids.

It makes me sigh to see the blank locker sign between Orson Charles and Alec Ogletree.

That is really something. Let the Dance Dawgs work out there and you won’t be able to keep players out of the weight room this year.

Sadly, what immediately came to my mind was that the new facilities are certainly a boost in recruiting, but what could easily be just as big a boost is the renewed vetting of recrtuiting practices by our peers in the conference. After the Cam Newton purchase, you have to assume that schools are walking a tighter rope this year than in years past, and that could easily justify our renewed success with various highly sought after in state talents.
Any thoughts?

So your first thoughts about a new locker room are “gee, I guess everyone else quit cheating this year.”

or it could be the renewed focus and vigor the coaching staff has, the opportunity for immediate playing time, the dream team concept, and the outstanding, brand spankin new facilities…but sure, it’s probably that everyone else quit cheating. we can’t possibly improve, the rest of the conference just got worse.

Wow, impressive facilities! My 2nd grader is ready to offer his verbal commitment. He’s already almost 5′ and 90+ lbs with arms to his knees and claims he wants to play so he can “hit somebody”. Go Dogs!
