Burn down the plantation.

Tell me this wouldn’t be fun to watch.

And before you say the NFL would never draft a player straight out of high school, you can’t see a team like the Patriots taking a late round flyer on an A.J. Green?  Or Al Davis doing something crazy? I sure could.

More realistically, what about college sophomores who would have proven themselves?  That’s a no-brainer.

As a college football fan, I want to yell, “Keep your NFL hands off our college football players!” every time someone hops ship for the League early. Of course, I then remind myself that the NFL is the ultimate reason we have such a great college game. Reminds me of that classic townhall quote, “keep your government hands off my medicare.”

One of the reasons I can’t stand Mel Kiper Jr. The ultimate pimp when it comes to this stuff. He was yelling about how our kicker should have entered the draft and was the main guy blabbing it up early about Justin Houston.

To be honest though, there have been a handful of guys ready for the NFL after high school. H. Walker, B Jackon, E Campbell, and that is about it. Maybe AJ, but he got hurt every year with the dawgs except this year, you don’t think they would have broke him in half at the next level his first 2 years.

NFL already has ‘holding’ spots on their rosters for developmental players. DJ Shockley occupied one on the Falcons for quite a while. I could see a lot of nfl teams parking promising young high schoolers there until they mature.

We would see CFB turn into college basketball but then all the BCS would love it as the entire game gets weaker and watered down giving the mid-majors a better shot at the postseason
