It’s not exactly like selling rings on eBay…

But it’s interesting what you can find for sale on the Internet sometimes.  Or free, for that matter.

This is some or all of the ’04 Georgia playbook, if you’re curious.

    I imagine our ’11 playbook looks eerily similar to our ’04 playbook…
    Or the FSU ’98 playbook for that matter 😉

    This shows again that it’s when you call the plays is what matters. Teams know their opponents’ playbook. Hopefully we only see 1 draw play on 2nd down and long per game from Bobo. At least then we might catch a team off guard.

      Excellent point. The example that jumps out to me, though he didn’t turn out to be a phenomenal head coach, Ralph Friedgen was darn near masterful at times of knowing not just “what” play to call, but “when” to call it. I remember when he was leaving and all the Tech fans figured their offense wouldn’t miss a beat because it’s not like the rest of the coaching staff didn’t have a copy of his playbook. I had many futile arguments with Tech fans that you could give the exact same playbook to 2 different coaches, and end up with wildly different results. Some guys have the knack for timing, and others don’t. I actually think Bobo has that knack – but as the Senator has pointed out numerous times, I think he doesn’t have the guts to trust those instincts sometimes….and unfortunately it’s often times in crucial situations that he chickens out.

    The P44 series is obviously our 2,000 different variations of the play action pass out of the I. What’s interesting is how similar the 94 FSU playbook and the 04 UGA playbook are. Richt didn’t change much in 10 years.

    All these snarky remarks about game-winning playbooks for $1.00. What’s the diff between ’04 Offense-96 pages and ’04-offense? This all makes for a relatively experienced library at low cost, but would imagine that the one Bobo has far outdistances these offerings. And according to some of you, he only has to use 5 pages of it (beat you to it, you negative you-know-whats) .

    The CMB and CMR bashing is getting tiresome, although I’m as guilty as anyone. Guess we’re all ready for games to start. I’ll ask one simple question – if CTG can take the D to #23 in his first season, why can’t the offense obtain a top 25 ranking with coaches who’ve had 10 years to develop it? Considering the comments on this blog and from friends who are fans, I believe the days of looking back at past successes are over for CMR. Dawg fans are definitely expecting, perhaps demanding, a much better team than the 2010 squad.

      Yes, but wasn’t that a bash? I think we should leave everyone in our program alone because, as fans , we want them all to wildly succeed. Taking shots at anyone is counterproductive at this stage and doesn’t do anything to promote or help the team. Right now the AD and the Coach are responsible for their presence and/or later their dismissal. We can only be observers and agree or disagree after the season, but bloggers need to get off their anonymous power trip, sit back , have a cold one of their pleasure and enjoy Georgia Football.
