“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
No, they were “men who wanted to win football games” and “men who saw through the hype”.

Hey Franklin.. Look who is talking. I can’t wait to get this d bag and his team between the hedges next year. I’m just sorry that one lineman is not going to be there. Come and get some, Vandy!

Georgia fans, especially at the 2:15 mark in this clip, have already done a sufficient job of setting the stage. See you on September 22!

Vandy, are you seriously talking smack? You’re Vanderbilt.
I’m going to repeat that. You’re Vanderbilt.
If coming close is good enough to make you feel like you can talk smack, go ahead. But how about beating somebody?

Unbelievable. I’m at a loss for words…

“Not a man of honor” and “not a man of integrity” according to James Franklin. Obviously.

Man, this guy is constantly whining about everything. Amazing.
But I’m still pissed about the way Richt took the pushover approach of appeasing him after last year’s game. Maybe Grantham will finish him off this time by planting him head first into the hedges.

James Franklin is a poster child for little-man syndrome. Never thought I’d be saying “Man oh man I can’t wait for the Vanderbilt game,” but I’m looking forward to this year’s matchup between the hedges. Something tells me the crowd will make it a memorable one for ol’ Jimbo.

Honor? Integrity? I do not think those words mean what you think they mean

Considering he just oversigned in a decent sized way, and if I’m not mistaken, pulled ships from long committed, qualified kids? Agreed rebar.

“Pulled ships?” +1 for commodore metaphor.

So what does that say about commits he flipped? Or perhaps that didn’t happen.. because they’re Vanderbilt. They only get flipped on.
James Franklin is making Douchery an art form. He’s better at it than Urban was.

Perhaps he wanted to learn from men of integrity. It was obvious “Little Jimmy” isn’t qualified to teach that class. What a first class jerk. After what transpired in that game (and others) he should be embarrassed to open his mouth.

The Commodores- the team that Vander built and Franklin will destroy. Bush league.

Perhaps if this situation gets enough hype we won’t get a 12:30 kickoff for the game this season. A Dawg’s gotta tailgate, ya know.

I feel certain that Franklin stopped recruiting every player who verbally committed to other schools the second he was aware.

I have a feeling that this year, when UGA is leading big late in the fourth quarter, Grantham will still be calling blitzes. And that makes me feel warm inside.

Agree. I bet CTG will work extra hard to see that the D pitches a shutout that day. Hope UGA lays the wood both offensively and defensively to Vandy in Athens. While true that I would love that every Saturday, this date is circled on the calendar for many of us against a team we don’t usually give a 2nd thought to.

Vanderbilt was always a ho-hum game on the schedule. It’s now a nasty rivalry and I get the feeling CTG has it marked on his calendar with a giant middle finger.

Yea! I say let’s up the nasty rivalries to all games this year and smear the deck. GO DAWGS!!

I’m going to assume that Josh has dreams of playing in the NFL one day. UGA gives him a better shot to fulfill his dream. What is so hard to understand about that? Bolstering James Franklins job security is not Josh’s responsibility.
