Thomas Brown is leaving to become the new running backs coach at UT-Chattanooga.
This has a certain “dogs and cats living together” flavor to it:
… After getting strong recommendations from the likes of Georgia coach Mark Richt and Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, who was Georgia’s running backs coach in 2005, Brown interviewed at UTC on Tuesday.
Seriously, best of luck, Thomas.
The best of luck to TB. From what I remember reading about the young man he’s a hard working, forthright individual who deserves any success he receives.

Agree, TB was always a DGD, a hard worker, and a great example of a worthy student/athlete. I wish him the best, he should be a role model for the young athletes he coaches at any institution.

A DGD. I remember during his playing days how he he came back from injury and was still pound for pound the strongest guy on the team. His ko return for a td in 06 against UT and his monster game against Tech in 07 are my fondest memories of him.

Actually, I don’t think it was lb for lb. I think he was the strongest guy on the team period.

Good for TB. Got a chance to talk with him last summer, and I really thought he had a lot to offer. I’d love to see him make his way back around to UGA in a few years.

The thing that stinks about coaching is that there aren’t enough jobs in Athens for all of our good ‘Dawgs to be able to stick around. I hope that Thomas Brown will find his way back home some day. He’s one of the greatest people to ever play at UGA.

The first thing I thought was that this will make his eventual return just that much more superheroesque. DGD.

I am sad that he is leaving UGA but at least he is going to my Alma Mater. Hopefully I will run into him around town.
