Indulge yourselves.
- Patrick Garbin explores the topic of Georgia’s returning experience this season.
- David Ching talks to Richt and Grantham about what happens on defense after some of that experience leaves.
- Michael Elkon wonders if 2012 Southern Cal should take 2008 Georgia as a precautionary tale.
- From College Football by the Numbers, a chart of yards per play by down.
- Bill Connelly, on luck and turnovers.
- Ladies and gentlemen, these are your 2012 ESPN college football commentator assignments. Uncle Ron, I still miss you.
- And
ElkonDoug Gillett tries to divine what Georgia’s high preseason ranking may tell us about what’s in store for 2012.
Poor Colt Brennan. So forgotten they’re confusing him with Timmy Chang…

That was Doug Gillett writing the piece about Georgia’s high preseason ranking, not Elkon.

+1 Awesome.
I think McDonaugh/Spielman could be great! I think Tessitore is underrated, don’t wanna see him with Millen. Lovin’ some Pollack – I think he’ll be great (totally biased and totally don’t care, but really tho…). Jemele Hill gets to be a border-line racist and then gets to be on tv more?? Go figure…And for the record, anything with more Jenn Brown – I’m all for.

All these announcing teams look horrendous. The Thursday night team is an upgrade by omission, though I’d like to hear what Pollack does.

ACC football with Mike Patrick and Ed Cunningham… brutal.

Considering their lame-ass schedule, USC shouldn’t be to worried about being compared to 2008 UGA.

Here’s another one I’d guess they probably won’t have to worry about – when they win their first two games I’d say they won’t drop in the polls, unlike the ’08 Dawgs. I know it didn’t matter in the end, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t still piss me off that the Dawgs got punished for winning the first two. Who else does that happen to(being retorical here, I really don’t want to know)??

If the Trojans lose their starting left tackle before game one, then lose their top D-lineman during game one … then have Alabama and LSU absolutely hammer their first two opponents … then, yes, they will feel some punishment. But not like UGA did.

I could be wrong, but is that the same Maria Taylor who has been working as the reporter for UGA’s G-TV? If so, good for her.

I was wondering that myself. I couldn’t find anything else on the interwebz.

Oh, Jemele Hill. Now there’s a good race-baiting journalist. Remember sending that one a scatching email a couple of years ago over some e-mail that invoked race into some completely unrelated controversy. This is a quality line-up indeed. What, no Andrea Adelson?

They’re saving Andrea for the sudden, but inevitable, Craig James team up during a BCS game. Please Jeebus let it be the Orange Bowl.

I miss Uncle Ron too, but even when he did the Independence Bowl a few years ago when we played TAMU, he ain’t what he once was. Also, he’s an idiot who couldn’t figure out how to keep his mouth shut.
