“But do you think any fans are as excited after the coach has been there for a while?”

This is a sad statement:

The school also could not sell out its allotment of 8,000 tickets for Saturday’s game. Tech, in fact, returned more tickets (1,900) than Georgia Southern (1,400).

On the plus side, think how many ACCCG tickets those fans can buy with the savings.

It’s academics Senator, all of us nadlickers over here at ugay can afford tickets and travel because we don’t have the lifelong thirst for learning that Tech fans have. They could gladly fill their ticket allotment if not for all of the portable professor series audiotapes they buy from time life on an annual basis. Also they have to worry about cattle rape and other barbarous leghumper behavior when they come to Athens. The fact that they have 7000 fans is the equivilent of us bringing 70000 fans to Atlanta if you statistically compare the size of our alumni bases, which also means that when they pack 25000 into Bobby Dodd on a fall Saturday it is like us packing a quarter million into Sanford, which we don’t, Di really we suck compared to Tech, statistically speaking.

I feel kinda….uh….blah….hope the football team is more interested than the fan base, although from reading here the last week or so, there is no point…Tech hath not a chance….but just in case, I gonna wear my best hat. Blah, Blah Blah.

Time to make a statement, Georgia. 6:09-style. Let there never, ever be any doubt who runs this state.

Exactly this. We’ve yet to really whip Fish Fry in our own house. “Style points” may not matter any more, but those bugs are coming into Athens with hope, and we can’t have that.

  6. I was at that 1976 game. How did you get out of Athens and back to Atl. in time for the game?

Richt could show the team this, but they would probably still be laughing so hard, they’d blow the game.

I was leaving a Ga Tech-Hokie game (my wife is a Hokie). I was wearing a VT jacket and a guy grabbed me and gave me a noogie. I popped him in the mouth and asked him if he wanted another one? He didn’t.

I mentioned the lack of Tech ticket sales for the Tech-Georgia game to She Who Shares My Name. Her reply was that was not surprising as most of the Tech students were probably back in India or Pakistan for the holidays.
