How can you not love TCU’s Gary Patterson? The man says what everybody else is thinking:
“I’m sure if it was some opponent they’d beat by 100 points, [the players] wouldn’t have a vote,” Patterson said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
“My whole team would vote Devonte to be back on the team because they all want to win,” Patterson said. “That doesn’t teach life lessons.”
Another great dart.

Careful.
“the Louisiana Legislature condemned the use of the term “coonass.” The legislative body traced the slur’s infamous history and condemned the sale of any items containing the word. And, if I’m not mistaken, it’s illegal to use the term “coonass” on radio and television in Louisiana. “

Yeah, but no one told the coon-asses. They are the ones who use the term and when the day comes when they won’t use it, Les will kick Hill from the team.

Did I dream it or was it last year that LSU had to postpone their first game against some cupcake, and so Les delayed the first game suspensions of some players until that particular game would be played? In other words, the players were only suspended if the opposition was the cupcake….?Did this happen?

That was Sumlin & aTm vs Louisiana Tech, cause of Hurricane Isaac.
He said his players were suspended for the La.Tech game & by God that’s the one they’re sitting out. They played in game 1 (UF) & sat game 7, La. Tech… 🙂

Thanks Mudcat. Don’t know why I was thinking LSU…maybe because it involved a hurricane…LaTech, etc.

You might also have confused that tactic with Fla, I know Spurrier did it there and believe Corch did too. Very sleazy tactic, and that certainly fits that snake.
If UGA had an opening, patterson would be on my short list. That said, I am not sure how smart he is to poke that Tiger in the eye. Should be a very enlightening game for those of us wondering what LSU has under the hood.

Corch would be proud of Les.

Realistically, Miles had discretion to suspend Hill regardless of court activity. He made up the voting idea ad hoc.

I’ve always thought Patterson would be a great fit in the SEC.

It’s gonna be hilarious (in a very sad way) when Josh Harvey-Clemons has a similar suspension to Jeremy Hill when one simply admitted to having smoked weed and the other sucker punched a guy while already on probation.

There was a senior from a nearby high school that dated one of the freshman girls from our high school. She was 15 and he was 18. Somehow her parents found out that they were intimate. The guy went to jail. Don’t know for how long we all were graduating and heading to college.

If I’m not mistaken, Champ Bailey had a similar accusation against him prior to coming to Athens out of Folkston.

Guys, if y’all really think Les Miles made this decision solely on a team vote, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you.
