Only in America, indeed.

It’s narrated by a Brit who doesn’t know anything about the game.  It showcases two teams that I’m not a fan of.  And yet this video manages to convey more of the charm of college football than anything else I’ve seen.

It’s become my go-to opening day clip for good reason.  It works.  Take it away, Stephen Fry in Alabama.

Love the clip, hate the teams. Anything Bama just flat out sickens me these days.

Love the ending when the cameramen high five after the jets fly over. Gets the blood pumping even more.

Great video. Fry is fun to watch. He does some pretty neat car reviews too.

Nice piece, hard to blame him for choosing that rivalry game for the setting because it is a great example of CFB rivalry and pageantry. There are a few other stadiums/games that would have filled in well but this was fine. Don’t understand the amount of time devoted to bands at the expense of any live action, nor not showing more of the eagle soaring in and landing…one of the great CFB lead-ins. That damned eagle, and the pretty girls, are the only things worth preserving in Auburn.

There’s a distinct possibility that I’m gonna tackle someone before the day is over.

That video is always good. Just realized today what a 1960s NFL films feel it had during that montage of crowd scenes with the crazy, upbeat jazz background music.

I always love the Aubies playing our fight song while watching their eagle fly as they cheer their tigers dressed as plainsmen. Very easy for a foreigner to understand I’m sure. P.S. Nice hedges. Those plastic?
