This year’s Alabama’s offense, which hasn’t even settled on a starting quarterback yet, is almost as good as an offense that featured not one but two Heisman Trophy winners? Wut?
Even Junior hasn’t made a claim like that.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
You know better than to read bleacher report.

Sallee has his moments now and then. This piece isn’t one of those.
At least there’s no slideshow.

I like both Sallee and Felder over at Bleacher Report. Agreed that this piece isn’t Sallee’s finest work, but overall I enjoy what they do.

I read that about BR a lot. I don’t like the slideshow approach. But I read once where that site raked in a quarter million a day. I don’t know how they compute that. Seems a bit far fetched.

Those slideshows generate pageviews. Those pageviews are probably worth about $.50/per 1000.
So they would need to be generating somewhere around a half billion pageviews per day. They can get more impressions per page, but the more you add the less they are worth.
I am not sure that I believe that they generate a half billion pageviews per day. Something like Univision is only generating a billion impressions per month. I really doubt that bleacher report is bigger than univision.

Each slide click counts as a new page view. 20 slides = 20 page views, even in a single story. Cash check, rinse, repeat.

DawgPhan beat me to the comment about Bleacher Report. Henry has ONE Game where he runs well, in a bowl game loss, and suddenly he’s great? Maybe he will be but to compare him to Bush and White is a stretch.

He might turn out okay. They’re adjusting his dosages for optimal speed and muscle gain.

Yeah, Sallee has truly defined overreaching here. I agree that Yeldon is one of the better backs in the country. But to argue that Yeldon/Henry eclipse Bush/White is a bit much. I predict they will be the second best RB tandem in the conference this year.
Also, O.J. Howard’s 14 catches last year is enough to solidify him as one of the best TEs in the country and perhaps the best Kiffin has ever coached. Obviously. I think the kid had 6 stars, so who can possibly dispute his early election to the college football hall of fame?

This confirms what I’ve always thought–that the 2005 USC team wasn’t really all that good.
