Mumme Poll, Week 10

Well, well, well… looks like the interest level has peaked.  Big surprise, there.

Rank Team Votes
1 Mississippi State 45
2 Auburn 44
3 Oregon 43
4 Alabama 42
4 Florida State 42
6 TCU 36
7 Kansas State 34
8 Michigan State 30
9 Mississippi 14
10 Baylor 7
11 Ohio State 6
11 Notre Dame 6
13 Arizona State 4
13 LSU 4
15 Marshall 2
16 Duke 1

That’s a pretty credible top eight, IMO.

Duke with a vote?  Didn’t realize Spurrier was a participant.

Looks like the Dawgs loss have a big impact on voter retention. Lost about 30 voters?

I simply was too discombobulated to remember. Had never had UGA in mine Top 8 anyway but this is the first time my Top 8 would have been the same as the Senator’s. Agree, those look like the best eight at this point but I have reservations about Miss State finishing, and I am split about who is best between AL/AU. Lot of changes coming before Dec. 7, but believe the SEC should, and will only have one team in the playoff.

We can still vote if we missed one time, right?

FSU is my top pick. They did some things in the Louisville game that were very good on the offensive side of the ball. They can roll. Plus they have the best QB in the country. Whether you like him or not, he can play. Think not watch his passes. They get out quickly, on time, and in the right spot. Plus their receivers are very physical. Their RBs have speed to burn.
Something Coach CMR did not bring with him from FSU. Plus FSU always has the players. But Miami is a team moving now. The Canes defensive is starting to show up.
Some team progress during a season. Most CMR teams regress, that is his teaching and coaching ability and history. But he is a very good guy.

You’re right Gurley, Michel, and Marshal are slow as hell.

My thoughts are that most CMR teams play better later in the season..of course we aren’t playing ACC competition, so that may skew the argument just a little bit.

That said, I am the one who did not vote for AU…can’t do it…I saw how that Ole Miss game ended…
