He’ll be here all season, folks. Try the veal.

Honestly, given the constant pressure in coaches’ lives to enjoy any semblance of normality, I’m surprised we don’t hear more of this kind of stuff generally.

His next meeting of Trojan alumni should be AA.

A little old fashioned drunkenness is refreshing.

These guys put in all the work and sweat and they still can’t pick a quarterback quick enough to suit the fans. No wonder some of them drink. Or drank.

Disagree, many people work in pressure-cooker jobs, spending long hours away from home and family, around important people and alcohol nearly all the time. That was as dumb a thing to do in that setting as I have ever seen. Very, very rare to see someone screw up that badly. But it is another of those factors that can distinguish good assistants and coordinators from guys who can handle the HC position. He could have been weeded out before that, if folks were paying attention. Boom is another guy who was over his head and maturity level when hired as a HC,, similar to BVG. The loudest in the room rarely deserves to be the final decision maker, in my experience.

The world would be a better place if everyone remembered this.

So, Pat Haden hired (and then fired) Lane Kiffin and now he has to escort his drunken current head coach from the speaker’s platform. Booze aside, is anyone looking at Haden’s overall fitness for the job, I wonder?

Don’t these two stories make you thankful and proud of our head coach?
He is a good man and I hope his hard work and the work of our coaches and players pays off with a NC. Then he will get the credit he deserves and some of our expert fans can sit quietly.

Were the cardinal and gold panties anywhere? Because just getting a little wasted doesn’t seem like a big deal to me, absent the media presence.

Dog bites man. Bear Bryant’s “coaches meetings” looked an awful lot like booze fests and card games to the u trained eye.
