If LSU wins the national championship, Les Miles gets a $2.7 million bump.  Not a bonus – a raise of his base salary to $7 million.

      Winning a national title in a southern or midwestern state raises raises contribution levels and provides valuable political distraction, regardless of political affiliation. Just look at our neighbors to the west.

      If it happens, its money well-spent.

    I thought Louisiana was about to have to sell Baton Rouge back to France just to keep the lights on. I bet Governor Jindal’s rooting hard against LSU this year!

      It wasn’t Baton Rouge that came from the French, it was New Orleans and Jindal is no longer governor.
