“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Between the Paterno family and the NCAA… root for the meteor.

Wuh! Talk about your tarnished reputations.

So, basically, the Paterno family is potentially re-victimizing two living victims because they want to clear the name of a dead man?

More like make a buck off a dead man.

That “dead man”, sir, was one of the greatest football coaches in the history of the game. Enough has been done to tarnish his name but it’s difficult to not recognize his accomplishments. It’s the school who should be sued for its treatment of Joe and his family!

That’s true. He has a nearly unbroken record of ignoring child rape in his facilities and on his staff for 35 years. Commendable!

Oh, and I’m an old, conservative white guy myself, but honoring this man is ridiculous.

Gross. The whole damn thing is just gross.

I will be glad when Sandusky runs out of appeals and Paterno’s family gives up their lost cause so we don’t have to see their names pop up in the media.

I really don’t understand why this is not mentioned every time someone brings up Baylor. State Penn institutionalized a pedophile for decades, granted him access throughout athletic facilities, and protected him! Damn! So sleazy and inexcusable, across an entire generation
I am not minimizing Baylor’s lack of action, but we have seen the temporary cover ups at Auburn and Florida lasting far longer than Baylor being under the temporary influence of success. And how does TN not get mentioned every single time the Baylor fiasco is brought up? They covered up rape during the Fulmer, and Sgt. Carter regimes spanning over a decade as well. But all we hear is Baylor on a daily basis. It is the more current scandal in CFB but not any where the longest running abuse of power, or worst.

Uh…Baylor’s been dirty for a long while now. Remember one basketball player murdering another over a drug deal? That was about 10 years ago.
And the State Penn thing is just indefensible, yet their fans still think it’s some witchhunt against St. Joe. Sick people, all of them.
