We run that state, too.

Detecting a theme here

“It felt good to know we are,” Michel said. “Georgia football, we’re going to run the football.”

Chubb , who had just one carry the past two games with a left-ankle sprain, was on his game from the start. He scampered 18 yards on his first carry and ended the sequence with 15-yard TD run.

Chubb added a 1-yard touchdown as the Bulldogs moved in front 14-0. The Gamecocks (2-4, 1-4) could not keep up in losing their third straight game.

“I don’t know why you’re all so surprised,” Chubb said. “We run the ball.”

A healthy Nick Chubb sure makes a difference.

  1. Maybe it was the pulling linemen and blocking scheme….but Chubb looked like he really benefited from having some time off.

I know he’s superman, but it’s hard to think that he hadn’t been playing with some heavy legs after the UNC game.

So does a terrible run defense.

I know this isn’t a championship team yet but for the UT hail mary play the Dawgs would be 5-1 and leading the SEC East. I just want to scream at those %#^&#@* referees who called that celebration penalty.

I hate typing this, but again it was the right call. McGraw not only ran onto the field without his helmet — he ran all the way across the field to celebrate in the end zone after that unreal TD pass. It was so blatant that they had to call it.

But they didn’t when multiple TN players did the same on Eason’s fumble in the end zone…including one on crutches? Of course it is in the rule book but if you don’t think it is a discretionary call you are kidding yourself. McGraw wasn’t even close to either of the reasons that rule is in place. Should have been a no call.

The UT players who came onto the field were near the their own sideline — they barely came onto the field and you see similar celebrations all the time that always go uncalled McGraw, meanwhile, sprinted from the sidelines around the 50, on to the field, and all the way across the other side of the field and into the end zone to celebrate. I mean, cone on — if you have any degree of objectivity you’d realize those two circumstances weren’t even remotely similar.

Its akin to one OL giving a quick tug on a DE’s jersey and releasing as he’s coming off the corner, whereas another simply grabs him in a bear hug and throws/pins him to the ground until the play is over, yet you’re upset that both players weren’t called for holding on those respective plays, because, after all, based on the textbook definition they were indeed both holds.

Chubb looked healthy again. Like he did vs UNC at the beginning of the season.

And the line actually run blocked. Who would have thunk it?

It’s a thing of beauty to see Michel, Chubb, and Herrien all healthy for a game. It’s something that really can’t be stopped. Now if Eason would hurry up and progress already…

Interesting game. I napped and read a book, but saw most of it.

At first I thought it was going to be 48-0 with UGA holding the ball for 45 minutes. That was even close was weird.

I think USC has improved and their passing game might be something by the end of the year. Their QB was forced into some bonehead plays by the UGA D.

I don’t know what to think of the UGA O. But if there’s nothing else to take away, it’s that Smart is learning to win football games very early and that puts a nice polish on the future.

I think the oldest rivalry is going to be fun as usual.
