I want a better executing OL. I couldn’t care less about how large they are. Go back and watch our largest offensive line in football get whipped by a better coached DL of Boise State. Pittman better earn that salary this year.

The one player I’m most interested in hearing about is Cleveland. With his size I was counting on him being the cornerstone of the O-line this year. Besides vague rumors about slow progress or being soft, it seems none of the pundits spend any time talking about him (senator excluded). I literally google search for articles about him and can’t find any. You’d think stories about highly rated recruits becoming busts for the dawgs would be chum in the water to certain AJC writers.

Apologies, allow me to clarify: I am very interested in the offensive line. In my opinion it has often been an issue for UGA, and one of the things I hope to see the new staff address. So the statement “OL articles don’t get anyone’s interest up” is “Bullshit” as far as I am concerned and would love to see more.
That being said, I assume PTC was being sarcastic, so the Bullshit comment was supposed to be as well.

Not my perspective, try re-reading my post. I said I can’t find much information on him at all. What little I did find, which was all anecdotal stuff on message boards, talked about him being very unimpressive last year. Then I wondered, if he was so unimpressive, wouldn’t our favorite AJC writers love to talk about that? I love Cleveland bc he’s a 5 star recruit in a position of desperate need for this team. I’m concerned that he hasn’t been mentioned as even in the running for a spot on the starting five so far. If you can point me to reliable information on Cleveland I would be very interested to read it. If you just wanna smugly sit there with bad reading comprehension skills then shove off.

Maybe you meant the AJC would take that position in the theoretical article, not that you were taking that position…if that’s the case, then maybe it’s not that I can’t read, but that you just can’t write very well.
Anyway, multiple articles have said he’s 2nd team right tackle. He is in this position as an 18 year old, and the first teamer is a senior. Being 2nd team is exactly what being “in the running” to be a starter means.
Also, I’m sure you’re “concerned” that he hasn’t been mentioned as in the running as a starter, as I think your’e likely a concern troll.

It’s Nauta that has amazing size. Figure that Eason goes 6′,5-6″ and here’s Nauta nearly the same height and just as buff as Ben. Nauta’s legs are his big weapons to get downfield and open, but even I could catch in an open field created by a running athletic blocker like that.
Good God, it looks like they all, especially Eason (the skinny QB) who is up over 230 (?), have been getting their share of grits. I’d be interested in how Eason, and all those grits recipes he must be receiving, seems to have settled into Southern life as a Dawg. Think it would make for good reading.
Can’t help but think of a great iconic SEC QB who had huge legs that made for a hard time bringing him down when I look at Eason. If he develops his legs like Archie Manning, maybe we would see a few uniforms from other teams swinging in the air trying to get him down while he ignores them and finishes delivering the ball as Manning did when he played the Dawgs.

Rumors on Cleveland started soon after he entered UGA…Ranged from “poor work ethic, lazy attitude in workouts and on the practice field”. so who knows what is true about any of this?. I do think that CKS would have not red shirted him last season if he had any idea that he could/would contribute to the improvement of the OL…

Yes, You can tell by the bulging belly and disproportionately small arms and legs that the dude is a wanna be in the weight room. A poser even. And CKS is an inept dumbass homer hired by a penny pinching AD because he was a “good deal” and knows doodly-shit about roster management or recruiting. You can know this because at his previous job there would be a couple of blue chips, but once they were gone there would be a multi year rebuilding period.
