Does somebody know something we don’t?

I know it’s been a weird week in college football, but still, this…

Just curious:  what exactly does one have to do to be greatly respected by a Vegas book?  Besides throwing away a shit ton of money, I mean.

  1. That would be my feel too: Desert respect = Large volume wagering.

But for me (like this gambling syndicate), the Dawgs are feelin’ right today

Sic’em Dawgs! Play your asses off and enjoy this moment that you earned from your season’s record and effort to get here.

Just “Sic’em!” and never let up on ’em!

maybe it’s Doctor James Andrews who has some inside info. If not him then maybe Nick Saban or Paul Finebaum.

That means someone has more info on Kerryon Johnson than others do.

Speaking of Vegas, does anyone know of a good place to watch the game there?

  8. Yea, I don’t think Vegas would be talking in glowing terms of respect about a gambler who consistently takes their money. More like, “can we wack this guy and get away with it?”

You get their respect from (and this fits your normal philosophy on why things happen) following the money. Vegas has no more clue than any other opinion based on a reasonable study of all the facts. They are exclusively about balance to minimize the risk, they hate being as vulnerable as the marks.

Same thing as anywhere else….win big consistently.

It is either someone with inside info who let some of the sharps or oddsmakers know or someone laid down a shitload of money for a single bet to move a line even a half a point.

  17. Like Scott typed, you have to believe that it reflects the condition of Johnson. However, I am more intrigued by the possibility that it could be in response to perceived uncertainty in the psyche of the HC. (How much would it be worth if the Hogs announced Malzahn’s intentions at the Half?)
