We’re cuckoo for Notre Dame tix.

Crazy, man, crazy:

Stunning, for sure.  For all the sneering we do about Notre Dame being overrated these days, our wallets seem to be telling another story.

Meanwhile, Greg McGarity wishes there was someway B-M could tap into that sweet, sweet secondary market for itself.

If all the dead Beatles resurrected themselves for a tour with Jimi Hendrix as the opening act, I’m still not paying two grand to see them or anything else.

        Me either, Dolly.
Extravagance beyond my fiscal and moral reach.
But to those that can spend thirty dollars a minute to watch a college football game, hats off. I’m not judging.
Maybe there will be overtime to stretch the value.

Minimum Hartman points for renewable 2018 season tickets was 23,900 before you pay for season tickets and parking.

It is no longer tax deductible. Even at $1600 per ND ticket, I see the threshold being too high for entrepreneurs to get new season tickets for the ND or A&M games.

Regardless, the secondary market will be a coaster ride. I understand the athletic department gets a kickback, but I don’t know if it is fixed-fee or a percentage of the sales price. If anyone here knows how this works, it would be interesting to hear it.

This post reminds me, I would like to go to the Nortre Dame game. Anybody got 2 at face value?

All of the buzz around some of our players’ addled tweets between the CFP semis and the Sugar Bowl is going to be dwarfed by the media hype about it between next 9/14 and 9/21. What the Texas players thought when reading about them the week before last can easily be guessed. Hopefully this year’s Dawgs will have less time and inclination for the fooleries of social media.

I’m sure those tweets will be all over the ND football building all off-season. Our players foolishly gave ND great motivational fodder.

Let’s hope our team works hard, starting now, after doing a face-plant in N.O. Reaching the top is hard, staying there is harder. We came close to the top & then came down at avalanche speed. Time to start working again.

With very few exceptions, those who made the comments won’t be playing in the ND game.

We will have many months of hearing about our players calling out Notre Dame after their playoff loss. It was surprising and a letdown to me, but I realize that I am an old man now. I am sure the media will not let us forget it and rightfully so. There is only one real way to fix that mistake…and it is on the field in September.

Who’s buying those tickets at those prices? Do UGA fans love money more than football, like yikes, Notre Dame fans?!🤓

No actual tickets even exist yet, right?

I got three plane tickets and a Hilton hotel on points all for $2100 for a week in Munich in the spring. Just for sake of comparison. 🙂

Damn dude. I’d hate to miss that game, but I ain’t paying over $200 for a ticket.

I bought mine in September when they were just a little less.

ND may suck now but I wouldn’t miss that game over price. Biggest home game since 9/6/82.

Gotta get to 3-0 over ND.

Bama may have a bunch of titles but they’re 2-5 vs. ND.

  11. How in the hell are people putting tickets on StubHub when there are no tickets with locations at this point?

Anyone with renewable season tickets pretty much knows how many tickets they have to sell and their seat location so long as they pay their required donation. Then it’s just a matter of waiting until Ealy August when tickets arrive.

Assuming they don’t want to try and relocate their seats, season ticket holders know what they have.

The listings on Stubhub specify that the seller will deliver the tickets in August/September.

      • That makes sense. It’s hard to believe people are willing to sell these tickets for what will likely be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

No way am I selling my tickets for that game … if something happens where I can’t attend, no way will I give an ND fan a chance to get them.

ND fans were shamed at how the Dawgs infiltrated their stadium in 2017, and have vowed to return the favor. Won’t happen to that degree but they are coming. One time money expenditures for Bucket List items are worth a lot to me, the ND fans paying that have lost more money than that are far sillier things…and didn’t et the memories.

Worst part of this is CBS will stick this game at 3:30 in September (don’t go acting like Cock fans and thinking that is a deciding factor). Would love for this game to be a showcase event and be in primetime in Sanford. Some of you may differ but seeing Sanford at night when the crowd is juiced is as pretty a sight as there is in CFB. Unfortunately, that time of year doesn’t offer a doubleheader opportunity for CBS and there is no way they let the WWL get their mitts on this matchup of blue blood, Top 10 teams.

Does CBS make the call in this one? I ask because I’m not sure about how the broadcast rights are handled in nonconference games. I know they get first choice and all, but I just assumed that was only for games with two SEC teams. If so, yeah, it’ll be 3:30.

If CBS does make the call, there are some good opportunities for a early season double header on CBS with Tennessee @ Florida and Auburn @ A&M.

My understanding is they get a choice is the SEC team is the home team, but I seem to recall ESPN gets 1st pick two or three times a season, perhaps when it isn’t a conference game. That was a couple of years ago, and I have forgotten the protocol. Hope it is ESPN’ choice as they would be smart enough to make that a night game.

I’ll be glad to see it on CBS instead of N(otre Dame)BC.

I’m pretty sure CBS controls the primary broadcasting rights for all home games at SEC stadiums, so they should get the right of first refusal on this game.

CBS gets first pick for SEC games, this is not an SEC game. It will also not be on the ND network because that contract is for ND home games. This will be an ESPN game.
And I will say this ( and you can ridicule me all you want) but if someone wants to give me 2k for my ticket they can have it – GA or ND fan ( of course prefer GA).

Hang on a second. Has there been anything from Butts-Mehre confirming ND ticket prices? I’m still bracing for a premium ticket price on that one.

I believe ND charged UGA fans $250 per ticket, so visiting ND fans will pay a comparable amount for their 8,000 seats. UGA home ticket prices will be released in March on the order form, but I bet you’re right about a premium charge. However, worst case scenario it’s probably only $100 – $115 a ticket. Either way, it will be far less than secondary market ticket prices.

Page 10 of the 2019 donor guide says that season tickets are $485. That means that the power 5 games (and Notre Dame) are staying at $75 and the non-power 5 games are staying at $55. There are 5 games at $75 and 2 at $55 for a total of $485.

Do you have to make it 30 to keep them after retirement?

      Like

      • No, I’m with an organization that was allowed f/s tickets years ago and it was clear that we did not get them in retirement. They actually stopped allowing it as we grew and so did demand but they grandfathered us in. It’s been a gift to have them all these years and I’m not complaining but that’s the deal.

I have 4 club level tickets (comes with no bitching about bathrooms or concession waiting) and 2 tickets on the 40 yard line mid- level (home side of stadium). I will sell you the whole bunch for $14,000.00 in small unmarked bills.
