Honestly, this is starting to verge on parody.

Remember when Bear Bryant used to sign 100+ kids back in the day, just to keep them out of the hands of other programs?  Nick Saban’s just updated the formula.

    FYI, Kirby was at Wilcox County High yesterday seeing Desmond Tisdol, a 2020 running back. The helicopter tour had several stops yesterday.

    The difference between Bear and Saban is that Bear snatched up good players. All Saban seems to be doing is building an Island of Misfit Toys. What expertise could Applewhite (or Butch Jones, ferchrissakes) possibly offer that Saban doesn’t already have?

      Applewhite always struck me as a good OC, but he let the inmates run the asylum at Houston. It got away from him.

      Well, He uses Butch to troll Tennessee fans..that’s worth a lot from an entertainment perspective.
      One of the funniest posts I’ve read on here was when someone suggested that Saban should have let BJ coach the second half against the Vols.

    I have a question about these analysts. Why was Butch Jones on the field last season talking to players? If he was coaching that would be a violation, no. I thought all the analysts had to be in the booth.
