I hated to see him transfer but he definitely made the right call. He got plenty of well-deserved attention last night and if he keeps it up, will be a well-paid young man next spring. He certainly wouldn’t stand out like that with us.

I noted the same thing last night.

I heard Bud say this as far back as this past Spring re Johnson. Hopefully the NFL will see what our scheme is and draft our guys higher even if they lack the stats that Johnson will likely put up in the ACC.

Johnson was the real gem of the portal, though many others got more press. He’ll enjoy paydays on the next level.

    Can you just imagine:
Erk Russell up in heaven after the game with a big fat stogie in his craw grinning from ear to ear going, “Isn’t that something?!”

Speaking of transfers, just saw Brenton Cox with a clean shot at the FAU QB just before halftime on SEC Network. He was moving in slow motion as compared to Channing Tindall. Cox saw the writing on the wall.
The only chance FU has Oct 30th is if the Dawgs all engage in Motocross nighttime Demolition Derby the week before the game.
    Fuck those motherfuckers.

    Ain’t no doubt RR💪🏼
As far as the kids transferring out of UGA, it’s a business decision and both Cox and Johnson made the correct one. Word out of Athens was that JJ’s father advised him that more reps get you paid in the NFL. I personally think that his advice was code for “son, you ain’t quite as good as Adam Anderson or Nolan Smith, best pack them bags and haul ass”!
    Fuck Clemson and Florida!

He was a monster the first half but was out of has the second. I think he got put on his butt a couple of times in a row on runs near the goal line. No sour grapes but it speaks to Kirby’s philosophy of rotating guys so they can finish strong. I do think Jermaine would have been heavy in the mix here, and hope his conditioning improves.

Johnson left the SEC. That was helpful. If he had went down to UF, I would have been pissed. Wish him the best; but I did notice the drop off in the 2nd half. I’m sure some of that was half time adjustments; but you could also see that he wasn’t moving at the same speed and intensity as the first half.

“shows how absurd the talent is at UGA”

This, in turn, shows that the “if not now, when?” talk is not irrational or demonstrative of an unreasonable fan base. Putting Kirby on the hot seat “if not now” crosses the line.

“I’ll be honest with you guys, I’m as concerned as I’ve ever been because we have three or four guys out,” said Smart, whose team plays UAB Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Sanford Stadium. “We have a couple of staff members that have been out with COVID here recently. For us, we’re at our highest spike.”

The positive cases are infections for people that are fully vaccinated, Smart said.

“We’re talking about breakthroughs,” Smart said. “That concerns you, not only for players on the team that are unvaccinated that are playing and not playing because we want everybody to be safe, but it concerns for players that are vaccinated that we could lose them. This is the highest we’ve been since fall camp right now.”

Yeah this has been my concern too. I’d hate to see this screw up what could be a magical season.

This team getting beat by COVID would be the most Georgia thing ever.

When Ron Courson of all people was diagnosed pre-Clemson my inner Munson was at full alarm right up to till kick off. Foolishly I thought we had dodged the micro bullets.

Is there a game post for tonight’s game? I’m thinking this isn’t the first (or worst) communicable disease Kiffin has had.
