They may not have known what they signed up for, but it couldn’t have taken them too long to that figure out.

Chaser.
Like so many other issues, the SF move ultimately falls on the presidents who were in charge a decade ago – they signed off on Scott spending the money

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Oh, if I had it to do all over again, I would have aspired to be an AD or conference commissioner… LOL

“What Rose Bowl Tickets? Oh, those? Uh, we’re short on those this year. Here’s your Wal-Mart gift card. Merry Christmas.”
Sounds like Larry’s kid had some playing time bought for him, doesn’t it? Not only is he a dick, he’s a hypocrite too…

Eddie: “Clark, that’s the gift that keeps on giving the whole year.”
Clark: “That it is Edward.”
Unreal. Completely ineffective, provincial AND petty? Agree, the Presidents were clueless, did zero continual check up/education on the state of the game & are paying the price (justifiably so).
Thank goodness we are in the SEC. It a’int perfect but it sure as heck a’int this. I genuinely feel bad for my friends that are actually football crazy folks and saddled with a PAC 12 diploma. They check out by November.

Twenty-eight CFP berths in the years that Scott was commish…and the Pac-12 snagged two of them. And that was after expanding the conference by 20%.
But at least they landed some sweet synergistic marketing opportunities, or something. And I’m sure those SF offices were swanky as hell.

Why does everything that comes out of NoCal seem to be smug, arrogant and fake rich while burning through other people’s money?

SF office for $8 million/year?
Really sounds good, NOT

Lazy to blame the previous regimes for issues that werent discovered, nor fixed because of your current leadership’s own shortfalls in due diligence & accountability. Besides, office space & a few tickets that likely were in better more deserving hands than the same staff that sucked up to him, should be the least of the P12s concerns.
