Okay, not exactly, but here are his selections for this year’s CFP field, and all I’ve got to say about them is that I don’t think I want to live in a world where Georgia doesn’t make the semis and Lincoln Riley does.
All of which is my not-so clever way of reminding those who haven’t participated in this week’s poll that here is the link to do so.
Southern Cal? L. O. FREAKING. L. Talk about form over substance. I guess we just have to go kick everyone’s ass again, until they have to acknowledge us.

You would think Lincoln Riley had won something of substance before. He is the most overrated college head coach in the sport. You eventually have to prove you can stop someone. He doesn’t seem to get that.

He and Ryan Day both started on 3rd base and believe they hit a triple.

Predictable predictions predicted predictably. I reckon the qualifications for sports predictors are extremely lax.

Trying to be fair. Nobody wants to pick to SEC Teams, so they have to reach. And everybody will pick Bama over Georgia. I’m good with it. Nothing like a little disrespect (in the players eyes) to keep them focused.

Yeah, if I had to pick an SEC representative in the playoffs I would choose AL too. There’s also no reason Riley shouldn’t win the PAC, Ohio St should win the B1G, I think OK is going to take Clemson’s spot though. OK and Baylor should be fun to keep track of this year.

I would say that there are good reasons that USC shouldn’t win the Pac 12. Last year’s team had the worst record a USC team has had in three decades at 4-8. Will Riley be able to get more out of a team with a lower talent level than Helton did? Who knows. But before 2021’s top ten class and Riley’s haul this year, the rankings for the previous two classes were ranked 55th and 20th.

LOL. Gotta keep those click numbers up during those long summer days with the dumbest of hot takes.

Going to be mighty difficult for USC, or any Pac-12 team to make the playoffs with 2-3 losses. None of them distinguish themselves above the rest this year. Utah, Oregon, UCLA, USC should all end up with at least 2 losses. Again.

I like Lincoln, but it’s going to take time to get USC cooking. He needs linemen and that takes time.

I don’t like Lincoln Riley. I think he’s a sneaky little shit. He took every OU player he wanted with him to USC, and this is a lot worse than anything Jimbo did at A&M even if you believe Saban – at least those kids weren’t part of any other college program first. He plays in perhaps the weakest P5 conference. I think predicting a CFP appearance is a little rash, but discount the sneaky little mofo at your peril.

No one is clean in this game. This is the life we’ve chosen.
I do suspect he’s going to get SC rolling, but I don’t think it will be as turnkey as folks are predicting. His OU teams were really, really nasty on the OL. That takes time to recruit and instill a la Pittman with our line in 2016.

Pete Fiutak is an idiot. Most CFB writers are idiots. They chase the bright shiny thing and have no long term memory like idiot goldfish.
I’m saying Georgia is gonna make it, but I am saying USC won’t.

There’s no scenario where USC even gets close to the CFP. SC will lose one or both of Utah and Notre Dame and then have to probably get past Oregon in the PAC12 Championship. And Austin Dawg is most likely correct. Gonna be real hard for the PAC 12.

The tracking data to pick “hasn’t-done-shit in-over-a-decade-but-now-all-the-sudden-is-world-beater” USC over UCLA & Oregon, just a fat LOL, Pete. Give him credit for creativity.
