      House rules are a’changing…..love it. I have a new appreciation for the whole thing myself with a rookie year following the 247 site. It’s fun during the off season.

      It’s a different animal now. As a Georgia fan under Kirby, you know you are going to land studs all over the place. You’re not going to get them all, like Arch, but you’re going to get more than your share. Rather than spend time biting nails over whether the Dawgs are going to get this guy or that guy, it is far more satisfying to watch your rivals wallow in agony over the guys that they desperately wanted.

    I can quote the UF boards already “We didn’t want him anyway. He was an academic risk that couldn’t get in UF. The bag man got to him. Billy runs a clean program. We didn’t offer him money on his visit so…”.

      Following recruiting is kind of a game in itself. I never even gave it a second thought until this summer, don’t take it seriously but it’s enjoyable with the likes of our CKS and staff being “above the fray”.

    Dear Gator Nation,

    I want to thank all of you again for your support and encouragement. Both of you. While apparent to many, I’ve known for some time I’m not very good at this. But when the Florida AD called and insisted I was their man after so many others avoided the job, my wife knew I should take the guaranteed money and move her the hell out of Louisiana. She of course now realizes what I’ve known…that Gainesville is much worse, so she’s back with her parents and is researching southern Alabama just in case.

    Go Gators! The portal is open and I’m shopping night and day for anyone who will come.
