Go ahead, Corch, make our day.

For some reason, Corch Meyers keeps saying it:

… At issue is whether Tebow will make it in the NFL as a quarterback.

There is considerable debate. Many wonder if he has the accuracy to thread passes through NFL secondaries. His slow release is another concern. And the fact that he has taken almost all of his snaps out of the shotgun instead of under center is a red flag.

As a concession, Florida Coach Urban Meyer has indicated that he will at least consider installing a few plays that put the quarterback under center instead of in the shotgun.

“I assure you, him playing under center has nothing to do with his draft status with the programs we talked to,” Meyer said. “If it did, we would help him because he earned that. … He will be under center if it helps us win a game.”

If “helps us win a game” means tossing a meaningless TD pass to put the Gators up 49-0 against Charleston Southern, OK, fine.  But can anybody in their right mind see the GPOOE™ hunkering down behind center on a third and eight from the LSU fifteen, down by four?

Hey, everyone! I’m going to go outside and run a mile. I will thus be able to have a 40 time good enough for the NFL.

Okay . . . which is it gonna be, Corch?

Haven’t ya’ll heard? Tebow is going to the Pats because:
“Their head coach is a very, very dear friend of mine” – Urban Meyer.

It’s all in the latest GQ fellas.

He’s also quoted as saying Tebow doesn’t have the skills to play for certain teams because those teams aren’t any good…
    wtf does that even mean?

I believe Corch when he says he will make Tebow a great NFL QB.

Just wait until after the draft boys, when Gator nation and ESPN are outraged that Tebow was not picked in the 1st round. It will be wayyyy bigger than Spurriergate.

  6. I’m be pleased when both Meyer and Mr. Jumping Jacks I’m Coming Back are in a fcking wheelchair.

“Sick of Tebow and Meyer”–it’s when I read a comment like this that I remember why it feels so good to beat the snot out of you guys, year after year.

    Looking forward to 10/31.

      Ace,
It’s arrogance like yours that makes fans of every other team wish you and your brethren were all confined to electric chairs.

      GFY.

      Ace,
Everyone involved in this rivalry is aware of the past 20 years. Just as everyone is aware of the previous 20 years. The fact is that many of the past 10 games have been very close and aside from ’08, no one has really beaten the other by a large margin.

And yes, everyone but jorts fans are sick of Tebow and while we admire the young man, the obnoxious jumping jacks and emotional outbursts wear thin. While I doubt the above guy really wants him or Meyer in a wheelchair (aside from old age), not many opposing fans would cry over an injury or two.

So we will see you 10/31. But you might want to tone down the cockiness, which we all know is difficult for you guys.

      My apologies for dipstick above.

    “Year after year?”

Your streak is at how many?

    Doosh.

    Guys, Guys, Guys,

As we all know, learning how to win with grace and dignity takes more than 20 years no matter how many times you are on ESPN.

As to Oct. 31, I hope Tebow is healthy and THEGENIUS has his meds package correctly adjusted. If we win, and we damn sure can, there will be no excuses.

    Dark and Stormy:

Yep, we can be mouthy. But at least most of us can spell “they’re.”
