Dinich’s waters run deep.

I know you can’t expect much in less than two minutes of analyzing seven games, but does the only reason Heather Dinich can come up with as to why she believes Georgia Tech wins in Athens – “Georgia Tech has Joshua Nesbitt while the Bulldogs are breaking in a new starter…” – have to be that shallow?

I’m not saying the Jackets can’t win the game, but… that’s it?  Quarterback?

First off, barring injury, that’ll be Aaron Murray’s twelfth start of the season.  By then, while he may not be completing passes at a 65% clip (of course, neither will Nesbitt), he’ll at least have gotten significant experience playing against several defenses likely to be better than Tech’s.  He won’t be green and he won’t be playing in front of a hostile crowd.

But more importantly, Joe Cox won in Atlanta last year with this stat line:  8-14, 76 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT.  If that’s all it takes to win, Dinich might want to look in another direction to justify her gut feeling about the game.

Techsters like to call it 3rd and Nesbitt. I prefer 3rd and Bebe.

Tech lost their leading receiver (which comprised 65% of their receiving yards), their leading rusher, the leader in interceptions (33% of their picks), the leader in sacks (50% of their sacks), and was outgained by 75 yards at home in this contest last year.

Of course, they are returning their “quarterback” while Georgia is breaking one in… so, I guess that… makes… sense…?

Heather Dinich is an insult to bloggers.

Methinks losing their top rusher won’t matter as they’ll just plug some other Management major in there to take the dives, pitches and what not.

Heather is, well, a “Heather.” Why does the WWL give nitwits a national voice?

I really don’t want to be sexist, but has there ever been a female in a sports analysts role that had a clue? I can’t think of her name, but the woman that Namath got in trouble about – Suzy LNU – was not terrible, but that is about it.

I get the feeling that Heather hasn’t been in the arena.

    Solid analysis there, Heather. Solid.

Two observations…is it just me or has Chris Lowe’s head grown to Barry Bond’s like proportions? And why is Heather just barely peaking in the frame?– To show all that footbally stuff in the background?

Dinich is obviously impressed with Nesbitt’s ability to stay focused on his current activity despite loud screaming…

I don’t know why you guys are knocking this preview piece. It’s pretty good… for a girl.

Run it! Just sayin’. Let’s ask the GTP to post some follow up during the season…. and match what our opposition blogs bragged on during off season and compare it to what happened on the field..oh yeah.

I can’t understand how I don’t have a job at ESPN. I’ve written better analysis while drunk at posting at Red, Black and 3 Sheets to the Wind in one of my bi-monthly entries.

Heather’s making all us girls who really DO know something about football look bad!
