“He’s the best running back in the nation. You can’t really hold him back for that long.”

If Todd Gurley is the bell cow for this year’s Georgia team, then things are going in the right direction.

How’s his weight compared to this past season? He looked a bit beefy in the legs during the season.

    • Great question. IDK. But after his injury, he added about 20 pounds that next month, and when he came back it hurt him the rest of the year. IIRC, in the Florida game, there were times when he could only go a couple of plays.

Apparently, he’s just now getting into shape. Certainly the injury was real, and Todd says something was going on with his legs, whatever that means. But it sounds to me like it’s been part injury/part Todd.

But it seems to be all good right now. I really like it that Richt and B-Mac have talked to him, and have motivated him, and it’s working. He needed it. And we need him.

I agree. Staying in shape is an issue. He could lose a few pounds and still be a beast to tackle, but a bit quicker and harder to hit squarely.

I think so, too. At the Bowl game he was almost 250, I think Bobo said 248. He’s down a little from there, but still looks 240’ish to me. I think he’d be best about 230. Maybe 235 – tops – to start Camp.

+1,000. What do those idiots at B-M do to earn their money, anyway? B-M has got to be the biggest featherbedding operation since railroads eliminated coal/wood burning engines but still kept firemen on the payroll.

Dare I say it? The O line must have done better also.

Richt slowed Marshal and sped Gurley up. Let’s don’t have any more “Richt has lost control” memes.

  7. I would love to see him get 1,500 yards from scrimmage this year. If that happens and Marshall gets about 900 from scrimmage, we are going to be very happy.
