ESPN survey of the top 300 high school football recruits in the nation reveals that 60% of them favor a players union and over 86% believe players should receive a stipend.

I wonder what many of these kids would be doing on Saturday’s after High School WITHOUT a full ride scholarship. Maybe ask their parents.

I know it’s late and I’ve been drinking, but what if there were some sort of farm system for the NFL? MLB can draft right out of high school and for want of a better term “sponsors”a player until they are proven. On the same hand they can draft out of college. It would be the player’s choice to take the money up front and play professionally through the ranks, or play for a University as an amateur for the scholarship.
