Mississippi is the new Alabama.
- Auburn. With Marshall’s improvement as a passer, the least flawed team in the conference.
- Mississippi. It’s not just that Ole Miss beat Alabama. It’s how Ole Miss beat Alabama.
- Mississippi State. Asked and answered, Bulldogs. Asked and answered. Of course, that just brings us to this week’s question.
- Alabama. Is Junior still a genius? Just checking.
- Texas A&M. The Aggies’ defense isn’t good enough for A&M to withstand playing an opponent with a good defense. Did I mention that TAMU plays in the SEC West?
- Georgia. I know I sound like a broken record, but even with that passing game, the Dawgs are second in the SEC in points scored.
- Missouri. If there was a week to have a bye, the Tigers sure picked a good one.
- LSU. It’s time to face reality. It’s a rebuilding year in Baton Rouge.
- Arkansas. The SEC West isn’t looking any friendlier, Bert.
- Florida. Will Muschamp stared into the abyss… and trolled Tennessee fans.
- Kentucky. Don’t look now, but the ‘Cats are in the divisional race.
- South Carolina. At least one of Steve Spurrier’s goals – a good tee time at Augusta National – is still in front of them.
- Tennessee. As a Georgia fan, I just want to say I resent how lousy the Vols’ offense looked Saturday.
- Vanderbilt. According to Sagarin, there are 18 FCS teams better than the Commodores. That seems low.
I think Spurrier’s main goal now is just to make our loss to them look as terrible as possible. They’ll sandbag the rest of the year, then play just well enough to beat Clemson.

The performances of Tennessee and SCe just make me feel bad. Clemson, however, is cause for optimism. I wonder is Spurrier’s magic beans are still good on Dabo like they were on us.

It wouldn’t shock me if Watson lights things up the rest of the year, all the way up until their game against the ‘Cocks, and that will be the one game he actually plays like a true freshman. Spurrier likes to dick around the rest of the year, but he’s always on point against us and Clemson.

I fear five better is optimistic…call Sunday morning.

UT. Butch and Barbara were born and raised in Meechigan. Butch has never stayed as a head coach in one place more than two years; always bolting for the next Lane Kiffin like opportunity.
Attended Ferris State in MI, coached at Central MI with Jancek. Then Cincinatti and then to Knoxville with the CoonHounds.
If the Wolverines come calling – a Major program with even more of a His-tot-tee than Penn State – Does Butch bolt the Craziness on Top of Rocky Top a la Franklin and Kiffin?

I still think the easy money is on Miles to Michigan. I’ve got a feeling that after this year, both Miles and the LSU fan base are gonna be open to change. And even though LSU has been trending down the past couple of years, he’d be a huge upgrade over Hoke.

Butch has lost control of the Vol fans in the stadium. Michigan is very sensitive to fan attitudes right now.

What Boom said, and they way he said it, was disgraceful. I hope the Gators are happy. And FU got away with another “no call” on a delay of game violation. What is it with the refs and Florida?

Same thing as it is with refs and Bama. The facemask no-call that gave them a scoop and six against Ole Miss on Saturday was criminal. You could see Mathers’ head snatch around in the live long shot. The reverse angle replay showed three guys wearing stripes in the picture. No flag.
Somebody in Birmingham ought to be in jail. They are wearing the wrong kind of stripes.

I’d say Arky is better than LSU right now and Kentucky over Florida

Arky hasn’t beaten anybody yet and Florida beat Kentucky.

Florida got very lucky to beat UK at home, and that situation didn’t stop the Power Poll from ranking us ahead of SCe. 🙂

True, but you may have noticed that SC has lost twice since playing Georgia.

LSU only beat Wisconsin and Wisconsin just lost to powerhouse Northwestern. I’d say Arky is still better than LSU.

And I’m still not convinced that we’re better than they are.

If that’s the case, it’s getting ready to be a long season.

Sort of beat Kentucky…talk about never getting calls go your way, both KY games I watched this year the refs were horrible.
And speaking of KY, they’re hard to dislike. I wish ’em all the best except for one game this year.

I am not buying 5 SEC teams are better than UGA.

Okay… so which of those teams would Georgia beat?

Yeah but of the 5 teams ahead of us, are there any that you can honestly say you’d think we would win more than we would lose against on a neutral field? As the teams stand today, I know I can’t. That could change as MM and JSW get integrated back into the offense, but as thee teams stand today, hard to argue against the teams Bluto has in front of us.

OF the 5, I think State is the best..but we shall see this weekend about that. Bama/A&M/Ole Miss all look very beatable to me. Bama has lost to the last 3 ranked teams they played.
A&M’s passing game would give us fits, that I see would be the biggest issue of those 3 mentioned above. That said, now watch Bama come back and win the West.

Yeah I mean any given Saturday, we’d have a shot at beating any of them. But I guess what I’m looking at is if we played 10 times on a neutral field, who would win the most times? I’d give the nod to the opponent with all 5 of those above us right now.
Again, that’s subject to change, this time last year Auburn hadn’t given anyone any real reason to be impressed either. Our defense is what it is, and I think will continue to make some improvement, but there is a definite ceiling to the expectations there. Our offense though, if Mason and the WR’s can get in sync, I still believe there is a pretty high ceiling there. Which is kinda weird to say since our scoring average is already so high, it just feels like we’re nowhere near our potential yet.

I don’t understand why you think Ole Miss’s win over Bama was more impressive than MSU’s over A&M. Other than that, no complaints.

Ole Miss better than State….hmmm. Maybe I just don’t want to believe the Archies are better than anybody…guess we will know more this weekend.
Two very similar offenses ( in concept)…best defense wins.

Pruitt was spotted wearing a blue shirt this morning so expect to see him at Michigan next year. My people tell me that Joe Kines is atop the list for next UGA DC. McGarity will be the Atlanta braves next GM since he fits their too frugal to win concept.

I thought Joe had eye problems that left him legally blind…guess he would not need towels.
