Pro Football Focus lists its top 101 players in college football here. It’s an interesting list, in that the site goes into extensive use of analytics to justify the selections.
If you take it seriously, then it’s a little depressing to see only one Georgia player there — Nick Chubb at No. 12. For comparison’s sake, there are six SEC teams with more than one player. And in terms of the schedule, note that Florida shows up with four players, while Tennessee and North Carolina each have three.
No, it’s not a be all and end all comparison. Depth matters, obviously. But if you’re a top tier SEC program that’s been chasing elite talent, it’s hard not to think it should show a little better on a list like this.
Get The Picture 
Not n end all is correct, and who is to say those evaluations are accurate, and many players can work their way onto that list this fall even if in the latter half. I couldn’t disagree that Chubb might be our only Top 100 but I wouldn’t be surprised if several Dawgs will be on that list, even if not in 2016. We have talent, short on both lines at this point, but it will get progressively better as the season progresses. Many Heisman (ugh!) winners weren’t in the Top 100 either when measured by NFL terms but made significant contributions to successful seasons.

Was thinking about Dom. He should be on the list, and I’d bet my season’s end LoCarter or Bellamy will be on a list. I’m not sure Natrez Patrick isn’t a start in the making along w/ Roquan and Trenton. Same with Godwin. And…I’d wager that I-Mac is the most dangerous punt returner in the country.
None of it really matters. What we don’t have is a lot of proven talent returning. What we do have is a bunch of sophomores who are potential stars in ’16 and ’17. Pruitt had already improved our recruiting, and Kirby has taken it to another level.
And I think our quarterback will be on a lot of lists by mid-October.

when I see lists like this I think of Geno Atkins, Boss Andrews and Chris Conley. I doubt any of them were ranked in a list like this before their senior years. To quote WarEagle on another thread …it’s a list.

You have 3 very fine examples of football players. But based on their productivity at UGA in comparison to the productivity of players at other schools, I’m not sure I’d list them in a top 101 either (while they played at UGA, of course).
For instance, Conley had 16, 20, 45 and 36 receptions in 49 games over 4 seasons. I doubt that would break the top 101 if the list was entirely WRs. But there’s no arguing he’s a great kid and football player, albeit one could say underutilized.
