Let’s face reality here: Alabama is putting together a season for the ages. (Now that I’ve said that, the Tide will probably lose.) The rest of the conference? Pretty much a complete jumble. Well, except the East basically sucks.
- Alabama. Generally speaking, I’d hate to be a team the pundits claim can give Alabama a fight.
- Texas A&M. Nice week to have a bye.
- LSU. The Tigers have looked pretty good under Coach O.
- Ole Miss. Bert is the Rebels’ Kryptonite. Go figure.
- Auburn. Another well placed bye week.
- Florida. This week’s king of the dipshits.
- Tennessee. I wonder how many times they played “Rocky Top” last Saturday.
- Arkansas. They’ll always have Mississippi.
- Georgia. Well, Kirby, you go to war with the identity you have, not the identity you might want.
- Mississippi State. Twenty one points in a double overtime game? Sylvester Croom nods appreciatively.
- Missouri. Drew Locke’s passer rating against Florida? 18.20. Ouch.
- Vanderbilt. The ‘Dores get the “they may not be good, but they play hard” bounce.
- Kentucky. Suddenly, that Georgia game looks doable.
- South Carolina. Who schedules a bye week before playing Massachusetts?
Get The Picture 
We’re seven weeks into the season and saying the same thing about Georgia. There’s something about the definition of insanity in there somewhere.

I think we are 2-2 vs. Vandy over the last four years. Not a good sign. To me, Arkansas is too low in your list and UGA is too high. The East apparently has gotten worse this year; I didn’t think that was possible.

Agree, Arkansas is better than both TN and Florida, and UGA may well be too high. I don’t know how you separate the warm mess that is the bottom of the East.

At first glance, I thought you’d typed “well PLAYED” bye week for Auburn.
I think this AU team can be decent, top 25-ish, but they aren’t very good. Using that as a measuring stick, I think the SEC is terrible this year. Looking like the ACC when FSU was “dominant” under Bowden.

That Georgia game does look doable for KY indeed. If Vandy can do it on the road, why can’t they do it at home?

I really believe the UGA players are playing on a higher level and the coaches are coaching/game planning on a very low level.
