Okay, so when’s the coronation?
- Alabama. In the midst of playing in the SEC West, the SECCG and the CFB playoffs, the Tide has won 20 games in a row. That is ridiculous.
- LSU. On a roll with Coach O… and, oh, yeah, that Fournette guy.
- Auburn. The SEC’s most improved team over the course of the season.
- Texas A&M. Even when the Aggies led on Saturday, there was little doubt they were the inferior bunch.
- Ole Miss. THEY’RE THE BEST 3-4 TEAM IN AMERICA PAWWWLLL.
- Florida. If the Gators aren’t rested up to play Georgia, they’ll never be.
- Tennessee. And if there’s ever a team that needed a week off to heal, it’s the Vols. The good news is that November is coming.
- Arkansas. Sorry, but you can’t play Ole Miss every week, Bert.
- Georgia. The sad thing to consider is that there’s a decent likelihood after this week that when Georgia plays Kentucky, it’ll be the latter team that can clinch a bowl appearance with a win.
- Kentucky. The ‘Cats are 3-2 in the conference despite being outscored by fifty points in those games.
- Mississippi State. Geography be damned, MSU is the SEC West’s most Eastern team.
- Vanderbilt. At 4-4, they’re clinging to bowl eligibility hopes with a final run of Auburn, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Yeah, sure.
- Missouri. It’s easy to overlook the fact that this is the only SEC team without a conference win.
- South Carolina. A six-point win over UMass — I guess they needed that bye week, after all.
After watching what Auburn did to the Razorbacks live and in color Saturday night, I think Ole Miss is gonna be the best 5 loss team in the country too. That Auburn d line is big, strong, fast, and deep. Chad is going to need a running game to go with those pass receivers.

Thinks KY beats Georgia, also think that Mississippi State probably could too. Got those two plus Vandy ranked ahead of the dawgs. BUT….no worries, we are in a “rebuilding year”. Thank God we have a new and improved coaching staff………

As Mizz loses in the SEC weekly, Georgia football is looking worse weekly.

North Carolina is still ranked in the top 25.

They’re a few plays from being 6-1 and a few plays from being 1-6. Smart may fail, but it’s not like they’ve been a dumpster fire all season.

Right, Bro. Their best game came in the first game and weekly, for the most part, they have been getting worse not better.

Bro, bro, bro. That’s patently untrue. They played absolutely horribly against Nicholls and rebounded to play slightly better against Missouri. They then played like shit against Ole Miss and followed that up with solid performances against Tennessee and South Carolina. They then shit the bed against Vandy. The trend line has been a lot more jagged than you suggest.

But trending down, Bro. Trending down.

which got me to thinking the other day…..what is Lambert’s record as a starter (not that it matters, we’re “rebuilding) – 11-2, is that right?

You’re right. They surely would have beaten Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vandy with Lambert.

Does he have some tackier gloves the receivers wear when he’s in? Maybe a better line blocking for the running backs?

Yeah, he was so impressive, that Richt started his 3rd string Wing T backup instead of GL against Florida last year.

C’mon. SC is not the worst team in the league. That has to belong to Mizzou right now. Beating UMass by 6 is better than losing to Middle Tenn. SC’s wins over ECU and Vandy is better than Mizzou’s wins over Eastern Michigan and Delaware State.

I have to agree. Mizzou is terrible, and we barely beat them.

Alabama
Alabama
aTm
AU
LSU
The aTm defense is good and their offense is pretty dynamic if Knight gets the chance to scramble. Against Alabama he was held in the pocket very well. Against AU, he was not. That scares me for AU v Ole Miss because the Ole Miss QB can scramble for decent yards.
It’s hard to remember that everyone has good players. Regardless of some outcomes, UGA is stacked, as are many other teams. It’s pretty much anybody can beat anybody, but it’s highly unlikely anyone beats Alabama.

I think only LSU has a shot at Bama..they may be able to straight up hit them in the mouth…

Auburn defense has been looking pretty good, and their offense is improving. Wouldn’t surprise me if that is a 4 Quarter game. LSU and Auburn both have the rival chaos factor especially with Coach O at LSU.

This may be the best Bama team I have ever seen in 50 years of watching football.

I’ve seen two teams that I think were as complete and relentless as this Alabama team: 2001 Miami and 1995 Nebraska. Maybe 2004 USC. They are a woodchipper of a football team.

2011 Alabama was as good as this team. They just ran into an LSU team that was as loaded and missed some field goals.

Bama also had some pretty good teams in the 70s. But I stand by my statement that this year’s version of the Tide is as good as I have ever seen in T-town.

The line on UGA/FL has dipped to Dawgs +6 1/2 and shows early betting is 53% on Georgia. I felt it might rise back toward +9 as it was last week at some books. Where is the UGA support coming from, are some of you guys placing heavy bets on the Dawgs to smite the hated Gayturds?

That’s surprising to me. Maybe some people think this could be Kirby’s hobnail boot moment.

Or that we’re going to keep it close

Well, we should keep it close, and perhaps win. Their offense is a mess and should not drive the field on us or extend drives with any regularity. They have a solid defense and good STs which could help them get points, but it should be low scoring. The missing piece to me is what have we figured out on offense during this 2 week period to get us some room to operate an get the ball in the hands of our talented play makers. If it is more of the same, I think FU wins, maybe comfortably. If Chaney and Pittmen made some changes, we are capable of winning this game straight up.

Arkansas had 25 net rushing yards against Awbun. Yes, sacks come off the rushing total, so its more like what? 75 yards? Gee, I wonder who recruited and trained Arkansas’ offensive line.
Its gonna be a long two years.

I’ve actually heard the line has dropped off badly after last year so that might actually prove the opposite of your point.

Auburn’s defensive line would certainly agree. Are you trying to tell me there is hope? Maybe? Possibly?
Hey look, I think Kirby is gonna be fine…my problem is I am old, I would like to be around to see it, ya know?
God bless Kevin Butler for deciding to finish his under grad degree as a student assistant… That’s a serious commitment. There.

So Pittman is still coaching Arky’s line as a second job. I didn’t think the NCAA would allow that. (Sarcasm)

It’s cuz Kirby’s so dum he don’t even require his coaches to quit they’s old jobs!

UMass
Kentucky
North Texas
Vanderbilt
Missouri
You have them too high, and UGA is going to win this weekend.

I would put UF below TN given TN losses to A&M and Bama and the Crocs don’t have a signature win.
I would have A&M at #2, LSU 3.
