“This is a joke”

Joe Alleva was simply dripping with respect for Florida and the SEC office as a result of the Hurricane Matthew postponement.  Dudes, some advice:  next time you want to wail on conference folks, use a private email account.

Next league meeting should be a blast.

Florida has egg on their face! The fact that they held back emails because they could shows LSU is correct in saying they thought they could win by not playing.

They need to get the response time pushed out to 90 days then they could’ve avoided this emabarrasment. 😉

If only Alleva had set up a private email server in his bathroom, all of this could have been avoided. And he could run for President.

  4. Well, this is kind of interesting tidbit about Greg McGarity’s former employer:

“The University Athletic Association, Inc. is a direct-support organization of the University of Florida and, pursuant to Florida Statutes section 1004.28(5), its records are exempt from Florida’s public records law,” a communications specialist wrote in an email…”

So, we should be glad to have a 90 day response time because down south they only have to answer if they want to.

Time stamps on those emails appear to be in wrong sequence. It’s been doctored somehow.

Florida believing they could clinch the East by not playing LSU is hard for me to buy. I believe Foley was simply scared of political blowback in the face of a hurricane and panicked. On the other hand, Tanner at SC did not panic and held his cards close until the last minute and the SC-UGA game got played. Towers and AJC were pulling for a cancellation so they could be writing this same stuff about SEC. He even wrote that postponing for a day was a bad idea for UGA.

Anyone not putting ALL the blame for this fiasco on Florida is not reading where the myopic decision was made. Now you can blame the SEC office for not intervening after Foley set his course, but that would not have been necessary if the gators hadn’t dug their heels in one single outcome.

Florida now gets to face a healthy Leonard Fournette and a re-energized LSU team on the road.

      Well-played, Foley.

I’m assuming Louisiana doesn’t have a 90 day waiting period on FOIs.
