The final chapter is writ… until the next one.

In case you were wondering if Gus Malzahn was really going to make that U-turn

No doubt that will last until Gus needs another scapegoat for a lack of offensive production.

Didn’t Gus say last year that he was calling the plays because that’s who he is?
    Yeah here ya go.

This is what I imagine watching a long running soap opera would have been like. You could go away for 2-3 years and return to watching withe everything just as you left them, same characters saying the very same words, and fans making the exact comments, demanding the identical changes they have for years. Only with Auburn, there are no likable characters to have ever made you want to watch in the first place.

Auburn is similar to SC, stuck in a bad place where they can see where they want to go, but there is no way to get there. Not exactly purgatory, but has to be frustrating to know your situation is pretty hopeless and you can do nothing about it. They are both doomed to be “little brothers” for all their lives and cannot seem to accept it. (SC has one title, Auburn has a handful more, and they don’t compete often, their role is mostly as a spoiler.)

I hate to be one of them grammar cops, but shouldn’t it be “The final chapter is wrote…”…?

Auburn is going all-in on DC Kevin Steele, too.

He is reportedly getting a three-year $7.5 million deal.

Looks like they surely will need him this year what with our new and improved , but not yet proved, offense. Since Malzahn has lost his rabbit’s foot, no one at Auburn seems to notice. All he has to do to stay there is win one tough game per year. Didn’t he have female escort numbers on his phone? Guess that’s good enough for character development at Auburn.
