Traffic at the AJ-C blogs must be a little slow: Mark Bradley projects Georgia Tech, “the new lords of the ring”, as a preseason #9 in 2009.
No word on where he thinks LSU would be ranked.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Let the Nerds be overranked and overconfident so the fall will be that much greater.

I think GT has come up with their own brand of Cool Aid like Obama did.. and the media is drinking the hell out of that stuff.

I don’t read the AJC but was that article written before the evening of December 31? Bradley isn’t exactly a CFB guru from what I have read from him in the past. I wish all pre-season polls were tiered for the first 5 weeks with no numerical ranking assigned. Teams could move among tiers each week, but not having them given a numerical “slot” until October would allow voters to vote without being tied to something they committed to in July. I never look at who I would put into my “elite” Tier 1 until summer camp, but I am pretty sure GT will not make it based on the talent I saw there this season. Not sure who all they lose, but they were very inconsistent this past season, and may not finish in the Top 20.
