The buffet is sticking with the college game this morning, thank you very much.
- Mark Richt says SEC head coaches are in favor of an early signing period, explains why.
- Hey, here’s something refreshing – an article about Johnny Manziel that actually sticks to football talk.
- To answer this question, probably not.
- Mike Slive would prefer if you didn’t ask him about Auburn right now.
- Here’s another SEC quarterback rankings list, if
youryou’re interested. - Does Georgia need for its offensive line to be dominant? Its head coach doesn’t think so. (That worked out in 2003, admittedly.)
- Is the Pac-12 considering going to an eight-game conference schedule?
- Texas A&M is about to make Kyle Field into one big ass stadium.
Delany’s other brother Larry (unlike Delany, Larry is widely beloved) gives Slive drop shot to think about in Destin thereby reducing time within which Make has to work on his tan.

The thing I don’t get about the early signing period is why people think it will ease the “problem” of kids committing and then de-committing. If we have a signing day in October, Da’Rick Rogers and Laremy Tunsil could swap their allegiance the day before that October signing as easily as they could the day before the February signing. While some athletes are genuinely conflicted about their decisions, many of them are just playing the recruitniks for media attention. I read more than one high school player quoted as saying Robert Nkemdiche knew all along that he wasn’t going to go to Clemson. I don’t know that it’s true, but I do know that Nkemdiche didn’t go to Clemson and I know that there was never any point when he had his other visits after his “commitment” canceled. The only benefit I see of an early signing day is the chance to lock up your solid commits so you don’t have to spend time keeping them in the fold before the real NSD. And I guess if anyone Da’Ricks you before the early signing day I suppose it gives you time to recalibrate your board so you get what you need.

I had forgotten about Da’Ricks. Man did we dodge a bullet or what? Shortly after arriving on campus a cop is stomped in Knoxvegas. Fights with the off season conditioning coach. Then suspended for violation of team rules…. fails 3 drug tests.
“On Tuesday, Bills general manager Buddy Nix revealed that the Bills were very high on Rogers’ football abilities. In a post on the team website, it’s noted that Nix and the Bills’ scouting department had a first-to-second round grade on Rogers … when it came to his “football ability.” Instead he is signed as a free agent. Da’Rick is Duh’Ricked!

Man, ain’t that the truth. I was pissed at the time, but looking back I’ve never been more happy to miss out on a player. What a waste of talent.

Speaking of bar fights, LSU takes early lead for SEC in Fulmer Cup standings
“Police were called to the scene of a disturbance at Reggie’s Bar in Tigerland shortly after 2:00 a.m.”

Hill is still on probation for his charge for having sex with a 14 year old. After Miles reinstated Jefferson two years ago I am sure they will find a way to have him suit up in Athens late September. The playing field isn’t even close to being level in CFB. There is no way Hill would be wearing red and black with his bakground, and I am happy about that. Shame, when you read the LSU fan comments on The Rant they don’t know why anyone is so upset by this guy’s behavior.

The DA will handle this . As a former LSU graduate and Magna Cum Laude graduate and Valedictorian, Juris Doctorate, Southern University Law SchoolSouthern University he will do what is best for all involved. As is stated here in this youtube …. he has been involved with LSU before.

I’m wondering if aTm can make Kyle Field any less ugly after expansion. I’ve always thought that stadium was hideous.

Hideous but it does tie theTAMU Corps of Cadets, The Fightin’ Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets, The Corps of Cadets, or simply the Corps and the collie together and keeps them contained.

One might get the impression that the architect has a lot of prison designs in his portfolio.

The lack of a good offensive line is probably what kept us from running the table in ’03 and playing OM, rather than LSU, in the SECCG. They were actually a functional unit until Josh Brock and Bartley Miller went down.

Senator,
Don’t you mean to write “if you’re interested” rather than “if your interested?” A jarring note in an otherwise erudite column.

I do. Spell check fail. Thanks for the catch.

Many on here treat those errors as unavoidable when the words begin flying and many of us automatically excuse. Knowing the author usually writes impeccably helps us to keep the communications as cogent as possible without correcting spelling.
Thank God that here we recognize the brain tells the fingers to type the sound of the word sometimes. I’ve considered writing about all my corrected mistakes for all to enjoy how humorous and revealing some are. Bet there are a lot of us.
