It’s a Southern thing. Y’all wouldn’t understand.

The funniest thing that came out of ACC media days yesterday had to be the national media’s fetish with Jimbo Fisher putting peanuts in his Coke.

I knew there was something I liked about Jimbo…besides the cool name. 🙂

Ignorant media members? That’s a dog-bites-man story if I ever heard one.

Is this symbolic of the ultimate difference between the SEC and the ACC?

“In addition to peanuts in his coke, Jimbo also enjoys fried okra, something called string beans, another concoction called “moon pie,” which apparently, are only be eaten with a RC Cola; and hamburger steak…which to this reporter looks like a big hamburger without a bun.”

How else are you gonna eat your peanuts and drink your Coke? They might have won the war, but damn what a bunch of ignorant yankees.

It’s what any respectable Southerner from FSU has for his wedding dinner. Just ask Bobby.

I’ve been ordering this at a place called Villain’s (with bourbon) in midtown for a while now, assuming it was their own invention.

    I am such a bad southerner….

I first had it in elementary school at after school programs. We’d play outside for an hour or so and then have a snack. The snack was almost always salted peanuts and a Coca-Cola. It just seemed natural.
