“Youthful hijinks”, “second chance” or “he’s a different person since then”?

I’m just trying to figure out the excuse that will be used by his next head coach on national signing day, 2016.

Auburn just moved him to the top of their board. The Gus bus is a paddy wagon

i’m willing to forgive an 18 year old for something completely stupid he did when he was 16, especially a goofy pituitary case acting like a jackass with no impulse control when he’s away from home. but a 19 year old that steals from teammates? that? that’s an….

    Auburn Man!

This is not the first time this kid has lifted goods that do not belong to him. I am willing to bet that if you followed his recruiting trail, there would be reports of theft among students at each stop along the way. This only further proves validates my views on these young athletes: They have zero repsect/gratitude/appreciation for the opportunity that well within their grasp. This problem need to be addressed at the high school, not college, level. The coaches, parents, teachers, guidance counselors must impress upon these kids early on what a golden opportunity awaits them. Unfortunately, the recruiting services, ESPN, universities and fans all play into inflating the egos of potential college athletes who want to be the next big man on campus.

You will not see any change in behavior until you see a clear demonstration of consequences, and you won’t. This will not deter other schools from offering him, just as bad behavior in college doesn’t make the NFL back off. Similar parallels in society and Hollyweird, remember when having a child out of marriage would have ended an actresses career? Look at what happens when there are no consequences. Michael Jackson didn’t get booted when he was sleeping with young children in his thirties, imagine what would have happened 50 years ago. Saying we are out of control is just too much of an understatement. Saloman will be a highly sought after recruit at all top schools…..but one.

A Solomonic solution proposed by Gus: he can can play on the team but can’t work a job in housekeeping while at Auburn.

Notice how all the articles mention he is a five star athlete like that makes him special. He lacks character!

Seems like the more stars a player has, the more reasons/excuses for another team to give him a shot. Good riddance.

Not sure what is dumber. What this kids is alleged to have have done or that Tech wasted a scholarship offer in a 5 Star WR.
