Here’s Josh Harvey-Clemons, sporting the Louisville red and white.
And here’s another dude decked out in red.
Gurley’s gonna be something this year.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
my red panties are all wet now.
I think I will start planning the menu for the first tailgate.

Can’t wait for the time when a defender makes a good play and tackles Gurley for a short gain. Some stupid so-called “fan” will complain that he lost too much weight and strength.

My guess it will be “Stopper” and he will find some way to blame “Chief Screaming Ass.”

I want to see him wear the hipster glasses from Conley’s video under the face mask.

Sorta like a 21st Century rekindling of the Dickerson vibe?

I like that – he runs like Dickerson.

Good to see Marshall out there. I think he is a huge key to Gurley having a monster season. Without Marshall, I’m not sure Richt/Bobo will trust the freshmen enough to give Gurley the necessary midgame rest.
That said, I am looking forward to Nick giving me a Chubby when he flattens his first defender and seeing Sony outrun everyone.

Not only will Sony outrun would-be tacklers, he’ll Betamax them as he flys by

Certainly we like to see our best RB in good-looking athletic shape. And all we can do is wait for the season, but count me in as one who thought that extra wt helped him through a few yards after-tackle (yat). Of course, if we look closely and count, we see as many stiff-arms helping that stat as well.
He’s a great runner because he is a great athlete all around and does things that enhance his running. His balance can even be improved with less wt and it doesn’t seem to have stopped his “dash over your ass” (doya) yards in practice.
His yac (yds after catch), yat and doya yds should be a thing of beauty to watch again this year.

YAT? Seems it would be hard to gain yards after you are tackled 😉

The fewer pounds will mean a bit more speed and agility..it will also mean he runs more plays without tiring and is less likely to be injured. If he had a great line blocking for him the sky would be the limit. If he has a “pretty good” liine blocking or him I’ll be very happy.

From JHC’s instagram pic comments:
“Which pocket does he carry his weed in?”
I wondered about that, too.

Ok I’m confused are you suggesting that Gurley smokes dope??? Trust me that body does not belong to a pot smoker.

No if you click on the link to the picture of Josh in his Louisville inform that was a comment written about him.

Gurley looks great.
I suspected he put on close to 20 pounds the month he couldn’t work out (and blamed our nutrition people for not keeping a close watch on him), and that it was just hard to see because he carries extra weight so well (I do too). That was confirmed by an insider I talked to after the Bowl Game, who said he was 248 before the game.
So he’s lost about 25 pounds, and he looks tremendous. That’s exciting.
