It’s laughable that those kids are getting better and smarter on defense everyday. More like getting more flustered and confused on defense everyday.

There’s a little nugget from when CTG was hired in January that has stuck with me, and kind of surprising it wasn’t properly researched. Of his reasons for hiring CTG, CBP said “I’ve had the opportunity to compete against Todd’s defenses over the years and have been very impressed with his scheme and how hard his players compete.”
What’s interesting about that is the only time they faced off in college was when Arkansas came to Athens in 2010 (was at that game). The Hogs were ahead 24-10 at one point thanks to numerous blunders in the UGA secondary (Mallett threw for close to 400 yards, IIRC), and eventually lost following a rally to tie it, then a missed tackle on a short out turned into a 60-yard game-winning TD.
Apparently that’s now worth a $1 million-a-year salary…
