Who you gonna believe, me or your lyin’ surveillance tape?

Oy.

A five-star recruiting prospect, accused of felony burglary, watched a University of Georgia athlete while she slept and continues to use the iPhone he denied taking from the dorm room she shared with other female athletes, according to a search warrant released by the Clarke County Clerk’s Office last week.

That’s his story and he’s sticking to it.

Police called Salomon’s high school coach Michael Tunsil, who said Salomon denied doing anything wrong and denied leaving the football players’ suite after they went to sleep at 3 a.m. But video surveillance from Busbee Hall from July 19 shows Salomon looking around on the first floor of Busbee Hall between 5:55-6:42 a.m., according to the warrant.

Just tell me this is no longer true.

Salomon, one of Florida’s top high school receivers for the Class of 2016, has scholarship offers from Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State and LSU, among others.  [Emphasis added.]

Surely Georgia is no longer interested.  Besides, this kid’s not sharp enough for college.

Coach Michael Tunsil? Hmm? Any relation to Laremy Tunsil, big recruit we lost to somebody at the last minute?

Bigger point: these recruits are a crap shoot, regardless of talent.

Sounds like a perfect candidate for Auburns “manhood” classes. In the capable hands of Rodney and Chette all things are possible.

Sigh. I am sure when he actually gets caught doing something illegal, the cries of “he’s a good kid” will echo out…

    Sad.

Didn’t we turn him in? And anyone recruiting this thief should have that info made available to them. Of course there are some who would teach this kid “Manhood” from a classroom, but wouldn’t it be funny if the other recruits ask that a known thief not be on the team or they will decommit?

Surveillance tapes are just another tool of The Man, all you sheeple need to wake up.

Jesus, this is creepy. Forget college football, this lowlife should probably be in jail. This is predator kind of stuff…where something very bad is going to happen eventually if this stuff goes unpunished.

Has Marco Rubio tweeted thar he is a winner of the field, yet?

      Off the field, that is.

    • No. That’s b/c Marco is too busy dreaming up other things to put in his twitter feed. For example on 8 September he wrote Ray Rice should be banned by the NFL for life and charged with battery by the authorities. No excuse for what he did and he should not be given a second chance. Better yet on 31 July Marco tweeted that he introduced a bipartisan bill aimed at curbing college sexual assaults. This guy is a real winner b/c he has absolutely no self-awareness whatsoever.

You know, we have a legal system staffed by professionals trained in dealing with violence and criminal misconduct. Perhaps it would be better for politicians like Marco Rubio (someone who doesn’t know anything about those subjects) to STFU and quit using a person’s family tragedy to try to get votes. This is almost as disgusting as what Rice did.

Can’t issue a statement one way or another or we violate NCAA rules. Can’t talk about current recruits specifically.

Good to see Richt’s new policy of committing the crime before they accept the scholly has taken effect.

Creepy as hell. Do not want. Of the schools listed I’d bet either LSU, UF, or Clemson gives him his second chance.

Aside- I appreciate the title of your post showing some love for J.R. Ewing, the greatest television show character of all time.

that’s actually a line from the semi-immortal Alex Hawkins, a WR on the original Atlanta Falcons team, isn’t it? He predates JR by about 15 years. Of course, he probably took the line from somebody else. Anyone got a Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations handy?

      • Funny. I just always associated it with J.R. since he used it early 80s, and had hundreds of other well written 1 line zingers. The Googles think it may be attributed to Groucho Marx…

        I didn’t, but I do now. There’s a high-quality Apple app for $3.99. I’d recommend it.

Not sharp enough for college? Give me a break! He’s a prototypical Auburn recruit. Offer is “in the mail” as we speak.

What am I missing? Given the evidence, and there’s a LOT of it, why hasn’t this kid been arrested? Or has he already?
