Forget about sneaking out of Knoxville like a thief in the night. Were I a Vols fan, this is why I’d be pissed at Junior:
What’s all this have to do with Kiffin?
Upon taking the Tennessee job, he sent word to a couple of quarterbacks the Vols had committed under the previous regime that they needed to look elsewhere — and they did.
Their names? Tajh Boyd and Bryce Petty.
As a Georgia fan, though, let me take this opportunity to thank Mike Hamilton again for the fine job he did.
Stay classy, Lane. And please tuck in your shirttail.

Did you see the story yesterday, where Jr’s mommy is worrying about him being in Knoxville, and wants him in the press booth and not on the sidelines? Seems he still owes some barber in Knoxville $14 for a haircut. There’s fear that he could actually be arrested?!?1…. And fear that if Tennessee should win, they will storm the field and he will be attacked. It will be interesting to see if he stands on the sidelines and if he wears a helmet, (see ..”Bear Bryant wears helmet on field against Georgia Tech in 1964 because of whiskey bottles being thrown at him in previous visit”).

Sorry about that, Senator and friends. I saw that there is a link to the story I was referring to in the “Friday Morning Buffet” below this.

As we all know, brain farts happen. Except at our age, they are called mini-strokes. We just accept this fact and the fact that others here will later experience dot-ti-ness.
Between you and I, we can refer to it as “amiably eccentric”.

But things sure were getting interesting over there.
They are easy targets those Tennessee fans. Not that they have a choice, but they really fall for all of their head coach hires.

That trumps Georgia wanting Scam Newton as a tight end. Maybe we just didn’t want to cough up 180K.

Boyd got cut by Jets. Not even close. Is playing for the Black tips FXFL.

He did well enough in college though, no? Kiffin wasn’t recruiting for the NFL.

If you look at what happened to the class he recruited at UT, I’m not sure he was recruiting there, either.

True that. It’s pretty staggering to see just how hard and far that program has fallen.

Is Weiss’ cooler is available?
Heck, Weiss would make a good shield for thrown objects coming from behind the Kifster. Except that nobody expects that Charlie could stay standing for the entire game.

Part of Charlie’s severance package was that Kansas AD Sheahon Zenger would drop a cash packed cooler to Charlie at an undisclosed beachfront landing zone site in Alachua County

That’s almost as good as Ray Goff making Terrell Davis a benchwarmer for most of his career.

At least Goff had the excuse of Garrison Hearst to explain that partly.

Are you both aware that Hearst and Davis were ranked 1-2 as NFL RBs two years after UGA? They both were the best in the Pros. Reminds me of our current RB situation.

Should have said “on one occasion” because I read that stat in the fine print in a Sunday paper full of stats. It wasn’t highlighted, so unless you were from UGA, you wouldn’t put it together.

When Gurley and Chubb are ahead of you, he gets enough to give us that warmth when he enters the game. He is as “tough-lovable” as it gets.

I don’t.

I would have liked to have seen him spell Chubb a bit more during the last two games, especially once we got the lead – I think he’s a lot of fun to watch. You also start thinking about possible injuries to Chubb in those situations, why risk it once you’re up three touchdowns on somebody?

Hearst left early for the NFL and Terrell Davis still sat. That’s why Ray Goff was called Ray Goof.

(1) That’s why I used the term “partly”.
(2) Davis was Georgia’s leading rusher in 1993. That’s not exactly sitting.

Davis’ 2nd year stats were similar to Hearst. He never got over the pulled hammy his last year. Goff thought he should have played in spite of the injury. Goff didn’t bother to help Davis get to the next level and neglected to send film to the NFL. Davis was hurt over that snub for some time. It’s buttah now.

TD stayed hurt at UGA. That’s what my memory says anyways…

Didn’t he have the migraine issues that plagued him in the NFL?

In ’93 He contributed a 1000 yards of rushing and receiving production in spite if “staying injured”.

Please, let Jones leave for the Michigan job. Would be so funny and fitting to the way all this has worked out for UT.

That would be funny. Then I want to see the dumpster hire Rush Probst to continue the trend of high school coaches hired in FBS.

The falderal around Kiffin is maneageble until you get to that item of discouraging two fine QBs from attending. Isn’t that tampering because he no longer works at Tenn?
Anyway, Senator, between you and ESPN glorifying that fact, I’d say his safety isn’t worth a plug nickel unless he has gun-drawn security racing up and down the sideline with him when the Bama O is performing. Of course, Crompton, sitting on the bench, may take a shot at him from across the field.
Expect that devious minds are afoot to show their displeasure without harm coming to Kiffen. What do you take them for, a bunch of hillbillys?

The “Worry. Worry” investing ad with the dog searching for a safe place to hide his bone just popped into the mind.
Shall we worry about each player and coach showing up after two weeks of practice? I heard that one thing Bobo was practicing was how to be nonemotional as we pass 50pts in the beatdown. Did that help your “worries”?
