After the “We run this state” game – one in which Tech was favored – I said to a friend, “We should never be the underdog against them. How can we ever lose to them?” He replied, “I’m sure we’ll find a way.” Unfortunately, he was right. But, considering the programs’ respective trajectories, we should beat any Fish Fry-coached team by at least three TDs. And shut down even the subscriber-only version of Sting Talk.

I was advocating for ending the series, because Richt always found a way to keep them uncomfortably close. With what Kirby is doing, I’d be for playing them to open and close the season.

I have an account on Stingtalk, and it is s constant source of entertainment. The narrative recently has been: Only reason Dawgs are in SEC championship is because East is terrible; Auburn will roll; oh, well, Oklahoma will kill them; well, wait until they get crushed by Clemson; wait, what, Bama won?; Roll Tide. Anyway UCF, a team that was afraid to play Tech, is the real champ.
Their obsession with UGA is really sad.
