Big ‘uns

My first thought on seeing this was how impressed I am with the good work Georgia’s strength and conditioning staff is doing.

My second was “steaks for that bunch?”.  Man, it’s a good thing Pittman got that raise.

I’m going to just assume the players brought their own steaks. Don’t want any NCAA violations.

And in a pic shown before the get-together, they actually drained half the pool in advance to avoid flooding the nearby vegetation.

How many pounds of beef did it take to feed those tons of beef?

Maybe Seth can FOI the food order. What I would have done is ordered 40 thick cut ribeye’s. Probably 80pounds of meat @$17.99/lb. good thing there’s money in coaching.

Senator I think you meant to say you were impressed with the improved 24/7 buffet at the Pruitt memorial IPF

  8. I remember when the D and O line players had fat hanging low. Big ole bellies. Now these guys are just as heavy but they appear to be stacking muscles instead of fat. Quite impressive.

^^^This. They all now look like they could be competitors on The World’s Strongest Man competition. Barrel-chested, 18-20% body fat, and muscles that shaped like the fibers are long from working flexibility and working trough the whole range of motion. Kudos to Scott Sinclair and his staff.

I get you guys being impressed by the size of these guys, but I’m equally impressed by the number. Have we ever had this man OLs at UGA at one time? Talk about building depth…wow! The power of successful recruiting!

I think I counted 18 which seems like a pretty normal number.

Compared to past OLs during the Richt era, that normal 18 would be held together with duct tape and bubble gum and consist of quite a few walk-on or converted DL. IIRC didn’t we have a lineman quit football midseason to pursue a music career? What’s impressive about this group is the quality for the quantity, including the coach leading them. If during the Richt era you bemoaned the state of the UGA OL and dreamed of what it would be like to have a quality group of physically dominant players with a quality coach leading them, you’d be hard pressed to come up with a better assembly than this one at least on paper. Looking forward to seeing them play together.

Appears to be 17 young men and Coach Sam. I like that he refers to his players as men. They’re not boys and they’re certainly not kids.

I believe that was Justin Scott-Wesley when he hurt his knee again. #kneelandcowpasture

Yeah, I mean, I can’t believe we’re 20 comments in and no one has complained about how they have more important things to do and this sort of stuff is “soft” and just fluff…

All I want is to name this group “The Moses Line” because they part defenses like the Red Sea.
